Accounts Receivable Specialist

A-1 Roof Trusses, LTD - Fort Pierce, FL


$16 - $20 an hour - Full-time, Commission
This position will handle all Accounts Receivable functions from credit application processing to payment processing.
Communicate with customers, salesmen and customer service to ensure payments are received according to terms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Process credit applications, requesting credit references on potential new customers.

Send approval letters to newly approved customers.

Set up and maintain new customers in Sage.

Daily processing of invoices for prior day shipments.

Generate and distribute weekly aging reports for salesmen and management.

Apply daily cash receipts in Sage.

Filing of invoices and cash receipts.

Monitor customer websites for payment information.

Resolve unpaid invoice issues with customers, involving customer service and the salesmen when necessary.
Document all results of customer contacts. Track and follow-up on customer commitments. Escalate unresolved
issues as necessary.

Handle customer receivable inquiries and requests.

Analyze deductions and credits in customer accounts, identifying items for follow-up.

File Notice to Owner when necessary.

File liens when necessary.

Monthly calculation of salesmen's' commissions.

Requires excellent attention to detail, and very good interpersonal communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the
general public. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions percentages, area,
circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay range for this position is: $16 - $20 per hour (based off exp)

seeking a receptionist/administrative assistant who is interested in a career in the insurance industry. The agency
offers commercial and personal insurance solutions and are dedicated to providing their clients with complete
coverage at the best rates available.

Duties may include:

Greeting clients as they enter the office and notifying the appropriate insurance agent of the client's arrival.

Answering phones, taking messages, transferring information and providing basic answers to some
insurance questions or questions about the services the office offers.

Data entry by computer or by hard-copy files.

Billing, handling payments, invoicing clients and balancing the daily ledger or bank deposit and statement.

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the office from inventory supervision and ordering through to working
with outside services for repairs or maintenance.

Requirements

Employees that have had longer term track records at previous jobs no candidates that have worked
various jobs for less than 1 year each.

Must have a great presence and present very professionally

MUST have very strong typing skills

MUST have skills in writing a professional letter and knows how to structure sentences/paragraphs/margin
setting/know grammar, punctuation, etc.

MUST know Microsoft Word, Excel at intermediate or better proficiency

MUST have a desire to grow in an insurance career and be willing to obtain the CSR 4-40 license (Fee of
approximately $400 will be reimbursed upon completion

MUST be proficient in online environment as ALL carriers are accessed on line.

MUST have experience working in a team environment in the past and have been acknowledged as a team
player by prior employers.

Position is full time, Mon-Fri 8:30 am 5:00 pm

$13-14 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills

Earning Potential: Upon completion of 6 to 8 months training* , candidates have the potential to earn an annual
salary of $66,000 to $100,000+. Base pay with performance based bonuses and incentives is provided.
