GENERAL CONDITIONS
Part I
1.) As per government resolution no. -1098/..28/98// Finance Dept., Mantralaya,
Mumbai, Dtd. 19th Aug.1998, The contractor has to take Insurance for the work and labour during the
time period of the work from Finance Department, Vima Sanchalak, Govt. Insurance fund, Maharashtra
State.
2.) As per Govt. of Maharashtras guide line & resolution, The contractor has to submit cheque /
online to Bank of India (at any branch) through challan, Account No. 004220110000153 on 1%
of total amount of workorder. And submit two copies of that challan with 1 st R.A. bill.
(Compulsory)
3.) The contractor shall see the site personally before quoting the rates & submitting offer. The scope
of work is spread in different location at different building and also the work in patches.

4.) The contractor will be disqualified if tender become unbalanced due to his quoted rates.

5.) The EMD of unsuccessful bidder will be refunded after 30-45 days.

6.) The Director of VJTI reserves right to reject any one or all the tenders without assigning any reasons
there for.
7.) The contractor shall quote the rates inclusive of all taxes such as vat, TDS, service tax and any other tax.

8.) The earnest money deposit and tender document cost on the form of Demand Draft.
(2 nos made separately or adding the amount of Two in one D.D.) shall be put in the same envelope of
tender; If the said amount D.D. are not found in the envelope the tender will be rejected.
9.) A Work Agreement shall be made between successful contractors and the Director, VJTI on stamp paper
of amounting Rs. 500/- and notary shall be done.
10.) The contractor shall be Self responsible for any type injuries to persons, animals and damage to material
and properties of the Institute.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Part II

1.) The items shown in Bill of quantity are only for reference. Any item may be cancelled partially or wholly
by the competent authority.

2.) Contractors have to take prior approval in writing from Associate Dean (Infrastructure Maintenance)/
Director before executing extra items and excess quantity.
3.) Contractor has to start the work within 7 days after acceptance of Work order. If the work is not started
within the stipulated period after placing the order with the successful bidder, the EMD will be forfeited
by the Institute.
4.) The work may be carried out in all days from 8.00 AM to 6.00 PM. For working in late hours security
officer permission shall to be obtained.
5.) The contractor has to make his own arrangement for storage of water & electricity required for work.

6.) The work will be carried out without disturbing classes, laboratories when they are in session

7.) All the passages, staircases shall be kept clean every day after completion of working that day.

8.) No labour hutment will be allowed in the institute.


9.) All the material to be used shall be of approved and good quality
10.) Contractors has to follow all the safety norms while working in institute premises and particularly
working at higher level by adopting safety belt, helmets and safety shoes only by using double steel
scaffolding etc.
Contractor should follow the safety barriers during the work and supervisor should attend all the safety
norms.
11.) All the materials should be tested as per Respective IS code from Government recognized
laboratories and should be submitted along with R.A. Bill/Final Bill.
12.) All the debris from Civil/Electrical works to be removed by contractor. It should be dispose it outside
the Institute/Hostel premises.
13.) If The Contractor is failed to complete the work within stipulated period mentioned in work order then
0.5% of tender amount per day will be deducted as a penalty from Final RA Bill.
14.) Contractor shall quote their offer in prescribed format only given in tender document not on letter head.
If offer is given on their own letter head the tender will be rejected.
15.) Contractors own conditions will not be accepted.

16.) Contractor has to appoint qualified Supervisor during the progress of work to accept information and co
ordination of the work.
