Department head, school Leadership Team. Trained PLC facilitator. Chair of school literacy
committee. Served on Student Support Team (EST). Co-advisor National Technical Honor
Society. Trained in implementation of ELA Common Core State Standards. Co-created
completer project Capstone assignment. Designed curriculum for English class with an
emphasis on nonfiction for full-day students in Forestry and Culinary Arts programs. Co-
taught with theater instructor to provide English instruction to students in the technical
and performance theater classes. Dramaturg and assistant producer of all Addison
Repertory Theater productions. Served as professional portfolio liaison to teachers and
assisted colleagues and students enrolled in all programs on the creation and
development of professional portfolios: collected and shared materials with colleagues,
lead business writing workshops for students, provided proofreading and other review-
related support to instructors. Lead preparation workshops for Accuplacer tests.
Taught five classes a day; delivered a curriculum based around the NH Standards for
Written and Oral Communication, including a variety of genres: persuasive, narrative,
and expository, with special emphasis on response to text. Utilized data from NWEA and
NECAP tests to plan lessons that would meet my students' needs. Worked collaboratively
as part of a seventh grade core team. Attended workshops on management,
differentiation, Professional Learning Communities, and Response to Intervention.
Designed and delivered a variety of reading, writing, listening and speaking units
centered on the Vermont Framework of Standards and Grade Level Expectations;
generated and adjusted curriculum; adapted instruction to students individual needs;
developed meaningful assessments; worked collaboratively with fellow teachers on units
for the classroom. Served as chairperson of the seventh grade Educational Support Team.
Mapped curriculum with Curriculum Mapper software from Collaborative Learning Inc.
Collaborated as a member of eighth grade team to plan and chaperone the class trip to
Washington, D.C.
