ABOUT LEO MULTIPLE DISTRICT

Leo Multiple District 306 is the top most administrative body of the Leos of Sri Lanka. It provides
administrative support for the 6 Leo districts of Sri Lanka , which has a membership over 4000 young
people in the age group of 13 to 30.

Leo Multiple District is facilitating the service and self development projects organized by the Leo
Districts and Leo clubs by providing overall leadership and administrative support for the activities
conducted by the Leo clubs.

Functions of the Leo multiple District includes

1. Submitting necessary documentation to the Lions Clubs International

2. Liaising with different districts to organize inter district activities
3. Assisting Leo clubs with reporting
4. Organizing Leadership development programs for the Leo districts

LEO MULTIPLE DISTRICT PAST EVENTS

Multiple District Installation

This is the first event of the multiple where a strong participation of 240 Leos gathered at the Lions activity
center for the inaugural meeting of the Leo Multiple District 306. Multiple District leaders were elected and
multiple board of directors were installed in this meeting.

Leadership Symposium
Leo Club of Kandana – Ja - Ela organized a Leadership Symposium on behalf of the multiple districts 306 Sri
Lanka. This event was held at the NDB auditorium, Nawam Mawatha on 2nd November 2009 from 8.30am to
2.30pm.

The objective of this event was to provide a leadership development platform to the Leos. More than 90 Leos
belonging to the six Leo districts of Sri Lanka attended this event. Mrs. Gauri Shankar, director of Studies CIMA
Sri Lanka and Mr. Asanga Warusawithana head of corporate sales of Softlogic attended this workshop as
resource personals. Both sessions focused on developing leadership and communication skills through
interactive methodologies.

Leo Walk
Leo Walk was organized in commemoration of the 40th year anniversary of the commencement of Leo
movement in Sri Lanka. This walk was organized with a large participation of Leos exceeding 450 participants.

This walk included colorful displays of Leo logos , placards , dancing groups and was a colorful display of
strength, unity and diversity of Leos of Sri Lanka. Leo Walk concluded with a camp fire held at the Lions activity
center.

Multiple Leo Sports Meet

Leo sports meet is a massive sports event organized by the Leo multiple district to develop sportsmanship and
fellowship among Leo club members. This event was attended by more than 700 Leo club members across the
island. They competed in many sports events including athletics events – track and field and team games basket
ball and Netball.

Leo Cricket Carnival

Cricket is a universal game in Sri Lanka. Youth love the game of cricket and we used this game to build up
fellowship among Leo club members. This tournament was attended by Leos all over Sri Lanka and the Leo Club
of Trincomalee emerged as the Runners up of the tournament while Leos of Edodawatte emerged winners. This
tournament was organized by Leo District 306 B2 and Leo club of Vivekananda College.

Leo Talent Search

We recognize the different talents of our membership including their talents in music , drama and other forms
of creativity. Leo Club of Colombo Circle organized this project at the Babmalapitiya Hindu College auditorium.
Leos competed in several categories including singing , dancing , instrumental music, Chaplin comedy and
general knowledge.

LEO MULTIPLE DISTRICT CONFERENCE 2009/2010

Objective of this event is to motivate and recognize the outstanding service projects conducted by Leo clubs all
over Sri Lanka. Leos all over Sri Lanka are conducting many service projects in order to develop their leadership
skills. Leo Multiple District is organizing the conference to reward the most outstanding service projects. The
awards are given in club and individual level to recognize the outstanding performance of Leo club members.
