Re: Recommendation of Ms. Aissa Carnet

To all concerned,
I write this letter of recommendation in hopes of conveying my confidence in, and
support of Ms. Aissa Carnet. Becoming acquainted with Aissa and her excellent work,
has renewed my optimism for the future of the industry in which I have worked these
past twenty five years. It is rare indeed to find a student filmmaker, even at the post
graduate level, with the drive, enthusiasm, and work ethic I have observed in Ms.
Carnet.

There is no doubt that Aissa will be a credit to any institution fortunate enough to
count her among their own. Filmmaking at its best is about telling stories, and choosing
which story to tell says a lot about the story teller. Aissa has, on multiple occasions,
chosen to tell stories of social conscience and responsibility, demonstrating an
uncommon level of maturity for a young filmmaker. Moreover, Ms. Carnet has
demonstrated a special ability to persevere, completing tasks that would intimidate
veteran industry professionals.

Few, if any of the film students Ive encountered have had a distinct voice to share
with their audiences. Incredibly, Aissa seems to have a firm grip on who she is, and
what she wants to say with her work. I am anxious to see where her career takes her,
and the impact she will undoubtedly have on my industry. I recommend Aissa Carnet
unreservedly, and look forward to working with her in the future.
