 It Pays To See

"And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the King
thereof, and the mighty men of valour" (Joshua 6:2).

W hat do you see when the Word of the Lord comes to you? What are the
thoughts that fill your mind when you hear the Word? Some think the Word of
God is extravagant and unrealistic. When your heart is dominated by your senses, itll
be very difficult to see the visions of God as the Word comes to you. This is why someone
can come into church and leave the way he came, with all the weight he carried still on
his shoulders. I mean, hes not inspired or motivated in any way, just because he didnt
see anything. To him, the words he heard were too good to be true. How sad!
Its very important that you see as Gods Word comes to you. If you can see
yourself in the words coming to you, theyll surely work for you. God said to Joshua,
See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the King thereof, and the mighty men of
valour (Joshua 6:2). He had to see it to possess it. Again, when Abraham separated from
Lot, God told him to look around and said to him, all the land which thou seest, to
thee will I give it (Genesis 13:15). The extent of his vision was the boundary of his
blessing. Its the same thing today!
Youre a covenant child of God; youre no longer ordinary. Your life is now controlled
by the spiritual and not the physical. Its no longer influenced by the worlds system but
the realm of Gods Kingdom. Therefore, once you hear Gods Word that talks about
your success, prosperity, victory, or divine health, personalize that Word and start seeing
yourself in the reality of it. When you do this consistently, youll discover that defeat,
failure, sickness and poverty are driven far from you. Thats how I live and you should
too!
