Acts 2:4247

They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the

breaking of bread and the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, because
many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who
believed were together and had all things in common... And day by day the
Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Christ is calling, inviting, and urging: Come and follow me!
People: Let us set aside our worry and fear, our busyness
and competing demands to respond to Christs call.
Leader: Christ offers us the opportunity to walk with him,
to come to know his heart more deeply day by day.
People: Nothing is more precious than opening our hearts to God
who fills us with love.
Leader: Come, let us worship the One who calls us to follow!
People: We worship in joy, in gratitude, in praise: Jesus Christ is Lord of all!

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
We are the church called into being by Christ Jesus, sealed in baptism by his
Spirit, sent as messengers who bear the Good News to all people.
We are women and men, old and young, poor and rich, from many
backgrounds, cultures and nationalities united in fellowship
by the mercy and wisdom of God.
We do nothing in and of ourselves. Instead, we are made new
by the regenerative power of Christ Jesus.
We are confirmed in grace, sanctified in love, and we serve
in humility and weakness, trusting God to work in and through us.
We are the church, and Christ is our head. Thanks be to God! Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER

THE LORDS PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
