Komposo Sultan Kudarat

My Translation:
The Komposo talks about a kid that goes to school every day but does not learn and
understand but still he is happy and excited about school because he is a class
officer and at the conclusion of the song is that he is saying sorry to his teachers
because he is not learning or understanding what they are teaching him. From this
komposo, I saw hope on childrens eyes. The simplicity and happiness they get just
because they do not let anyone look down at them because they know and
understand that not everyone is the same. We are peculiar individuals with different
roles in our society, it does not matter how we perform in different aspects as long
as we do our best to love our duty and do the best that we can to do it. Life is so
easy and simple for them, no discrimination and no judgements.

Komposo Silay, Bacolod

My Translation:
A lady sings about her husband that is lazy and only comes home when it is meal
time. She really loves him even though he is useless and always sit around the
house and do nothing. One day the lady got tired of working for the family and
decided to go and pray for his husband to repent and change his attitude that he
would be sensitive enough to see that his wife is working so hard while he spends
the day doing nothing.
This Komposo is truly amazing if only I was an Ilonggo and watching the lady
perform this I will also be laughing and bursting out with joy because of this
komposo made by the woman. This komposo speaks about the true nature of men
nowadays because as we can see most women are working abroad and are more
eager to work than men. I truly believe that komposos gave a primary role on
informing people about the current events and culture changes in our society. Lets
man up and show the world we are not lazy turds that sit around and eat all day, let
us work hard for our families and do our best to provide their daily needs.
Komposo Antique
My translation:
The guy is singing about his love for his barrio. The komposo talks about how
beautiful his barrio was that people would love it here if they come here to settle
down. It also talk about how he really adore the barrio Magsaysay even though he
has been to different place, he said he will always come back and say that barrio
Magsaysay is still the best place for him to stay.
The komposo is about how the man really adorn and loves this barrio. Have we ever
experienced what he has? A constant love for his barrio and how proud he is that he
came from barrio Magsaysay. Can we do this for our country? Can we tell ourselves
that this country is our favorite place? That we will always want
to come home? We should learn and acknowledge true patriotism through this
komposo, love for his barrio not wanting to abandon it but stay in it. Love for our
motherland.

Komposo Ilo-ilo
My Translation:
Pagmamahal ni nonoy, pag di tuna yang pagmamahal na alay niya kay nene ay
hindi niya ito makukuha. Tanging tunay na pagibig lamang ang makakapagpatibok
sa puso ni nene.
This komposo has three parts but this is what I understood from that. Its about
courtship and how true love can attract true love itself. Nonoy is courting nene and
he need to have the true and sincere intentions to make nene fall in love with him.
This means courtship is not easy, true does not just pop out when you wanted to.
True love has to be worked for and it takes time to see true love is really true.
