Scriptures On Hearing Gods Voice

Call to me and I will answer you,


and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah
33:3

And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, Samuel! Samuel!
And Samuel said, Speak, for your servant hears. 1 Samuel 3:10

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you
with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Psalm
32:8-9
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your
heart. Psalm 37:3-4

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with


you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to
understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for
understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden
treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the
knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5

The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost
parts. Proverbs 20:27

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And,
behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains,
and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; [but] the LORD [was] not in
the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; [but] the LORD [was] not in the
earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the
fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was [so], when Elijah heard [it],
that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering
in of the cave. And, behold, [there came] a voice unto him, and said, What
doest thou here, Elijah? 1 Kings 19:11-13

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand
about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you
speaking, but the Holy Spirit. (Mark 13:11; also Matthew 10:20 and Luke
12:12)

But he said, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep
it! Luke 11:28

Jesus I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is


just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. John

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will
teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to
you. John 14:26
When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you
also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning. John 15:26-
27

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will
not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he
will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13

While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, Simon,
three men are looking for you. Acts 10:19

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set
apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called
them. Acts 13:2

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing
there, urging him and saying, Come over to Macedonia and help us. And
when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into
Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to
them. Acts 16:9-10

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Romans 8:14

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of
God, Romans 8:16

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans
10:17

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are
folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually
discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14
Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so
by works of the law, or by hearing of faith..? Galatians 3:5

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is
the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in
the saints, Ephesians 1:18

For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his go Philippians
2:13

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for
you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all
wisdom and spiritual understanding; Colossians 1:9

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for
correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be
competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we
drift away from it. Hebrews 2:1

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and
discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. Revelation 3:22
