Mt Albert Upgrade Underway


Local residents will be pleased to know that the
upgrade for Mt Albert town centre is underway.
Enabling works are in progress and the main
construction works will start soon. Albert-Eden Local
board is working closely with Auckland Council and
Auckland Transport having invested $6.5 million into
the project. The long-awaited upgrade will revitalise the
heart of the town centre creating a safer and more
pleasant place for people to live and work. The new
streetscape design will acknowledge the past and the
significant history of the suburb while creating a legacy
for the future.
