MR. KONSTANTINOS DINO THANOS

Mr. Konstantinos Thanos is a Unmanned Aircraft Systems operator concerning RQ-4, Global
Hawk Global Command and Control- Maritime Tactical Picture Operator/Manager and
Mission Payload Operator/ Intelligence Analyst. Currently he performs daily duties involving
multiple mission profiles sensor suite systems and communications operation with the Global
Hawk Platform and smaller Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

Dino is a retired Chief Master Sergeant of 21 years active military service and has served
with distinction in multiple roles. He has extensive experience as a large scale operations
leader and manager, publication and technical data writer, technical advisor as well as aircraft
test/evaluation and experimental weapons loading instructor and evaluator. Early in his
career he was integral in test and development of Joint Direct Attack Monition, Miniature
Laser Munitions, Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile and Enhanced Guided Bomb Unit test
and development. He developed various technical order and loading procedures that he
instructed at multiple bases around the globe that are still in use today.

Due to his successful leadership as an aircraft armament technician he was asked to become
part of a new United States Air Force Specialty, Combat Search and Rescue Aerial Gunner.
He was the leader and manager of a budding Air Force specialty and helped draft policy and
procedure that enhanced mission execution. What started as a small community of 36
personnel had blossomed to an Air Force wide total of over 180 people. Dino was part of a
task force that combined personnel from multiple United States Air Force specialties that
diversified qualified enlisted aviators across 9 Major Commands and reduced 8 specialties to
4. This saved the United States Air Force millions in planning career life cycle costs for over
2,000 aviators. Next, he served as the Enlisted Aircrew Training Manager and Flight
Examiner for United States Air Force Special Operations Command and United States Air
Force Air Combat Command. He initiated cross flow of helicopter aircrew to UAV sensor
operators and filled the commands new requirements for a new weapons platform. He was
the sole author of what started as the U-28 ISR platform that evolved to MC-12 Sensor
Operator and pilot course. Those initial 22 syllabi grandfathered successful program
initiatives that yielded priceless results for over 9 years in sustained operations at Bagram,
Afghanistan. As command training manager he controlled and coordinated $3.6M training
programs for 2,300 Special Operations aircrew. Dino wrote training doctrine, Standard
Operating Procedures, training rules, and test and evaluation criteria for HH-60 aircrew. He
initiated personnel placement to the new 1U Air Force specialty, and placed highly motivated
and quality personnel in Air Combat Commands new Sensor Operator career field for the
MQ-1 weapons system. When Dino was promoted to the top enlisted grade of Chief Master
Sergeant, he was an essential leader and manager at two geographically separate operational
groups; the 48th Operational Group, RAF Lakenheath and 455th Expeditionary Operations
Group, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. There he managed the care, feeding and combat
employment of over 1,500 people. Even though he was not required to perform aviation
duties, he chose to lead by example and fly combat missions 4 times a week as not to lose the
pulse of the people. He has a knack for performing under pressure and a track record of
success throughout all of his assignments; military and civilian.

Dino is married to his beautiful wife Rachel and has two children; daughter, Micaela and son,
Andreas.
