Hydration Schedule
Pre-Practice
1.5-2.5 cups carbohydrate beverage two hours before practice
Practice (2 Hours)
15 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
30 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
45 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
60 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
75 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
90 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full mouthfuls
of water
105 Minutes: 60 second water breakathletes should drink two full
mouthfuls of water
*Additional water breaks can be taken by players as they feel a need for
more water
Post-Practice
12 or more cups of water should be consumed throughout the day
