OUR VISION A church
The Jesus Is Lord Church Pampanga
Chapter is committed to fulfill the Great
Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as
mandated to his church in Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, go ye into all
the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. The scope of our
commitment as a provincial chapter is
not only envisioned in the province of
Pampanga but is also in line with the
micro and macro vision of the Jesus Is
Lord Church as proclaimed by our
Spiritual Director, Bishop Bro. Eddie C.
Villanueva.
As we train workers locally, we aim to
contribute to the overall work-force of
the Jesus Is Lord Church for Philippines
and world evangelization.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from
your mouth, but you shall meditate in it
day and night, that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it. For
then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.

QUIET TIME
The QUIET TIME is simply a daily time of
personal fellowship and communion with
God through Bible reading meditation and
prayer. It is a time we deliberately set
aside in which meet with God.
The objective is that we might grow in our
personal relationship with God, so that we
can know Him, love Him, serve Him and
become more like HIM.
Why should we have a Quiet
Time?
Because we need fellowship with God
Because it is our privilege as Christians
Because we gain tremendous benefits
from it
The Quiet Time allows us four
great privileges:
1. We give devotion to God.
2. We get direction from God.
3. We gain delight in God.
4. We grow more in knowing God.
Why is daily fellowship with
God so important?
1. We were created to have fellowship
with God. God created people in His
own image for the purpose of
fellowship.
2. Jesus Christ died on the cross so that
fellowship could be restored. When
Adam sinned, his fellowship with God
was broken.
3. The regular quiet time during Jesus
ministry was a source of His
strength. Personal fellowship with His
Father in heaven was the top priority
of Jesus life.
4. Every great man and woman of God
throughout history has spent much
time alone with God. Anyone who
has ever been used mightily by the
Lord was a man and a woman of
Prayer.
5. We cannot be healthy, growing
Christians without daily fellowship
with the LORD. (Word of God and
Prayer). Quiet time is not just a nice
suggestion; it is a vital necessity for
a child of God. It is absolutely
essential for Christian growth and
maturity.
WARNING: If you are not
having a regular quiet time
You are missing out on the privilege
for which you were created.
You are rejecting that which Jesus
died for to make possible.
Youll never experience the same
power and refreshment Jesus did.
Youll never be used greatly by God.
Youll remain a spiritually weak and
sickly Christian.
IN ORDER TO GET TO KNOW
SOMEONE INTIMATELY AND
ENJOY HIM PERSONALLY, YOU
MUST
Spend quality time with him
Communicate meaningfully with him
Observe him in a variety of situations
Some practical reminders:
1. Set a specific time and place to meet
with God (preferably early morning).
Psalm 63
2. Secure a bible with your preferred
translation
3. Have a notebook to record your
personal devotion and journal your
experiences.
4. Read at least 1-2 chapters (or 1-2
pages of the bible) every day. Begin
in the New Testament. Also read 1
Psalm (enhances attitude of worship)
and 1 chapter in Proverbs (for
inspiration and wisdom nuggets).
5. Be open for the Holy Spirit who gives
enlightenment as you read Gods
word.
6. Record what you understood using
the MPCWA pattern or guide. Note-
takers are history-makers
7. For starters, 15-20 minutes bible
reading and meditation and
recording and 15 minutes prayer.
Progress as the habit is established.

At times, not all the components of
MPCWA could be present. But there surely
is a message or truths learned. And there
should be an application to be decided.
Purpose of Personal devotion/Quiet time is
for us to grow in our relationship with God
which results in a life of obedience. Result
is a transformed and victorious life in
Christ!
