tive month from its first use on site.
Check opening times and booking con-
ditions of your experiences in advance,
they may require pre-booking or even
request your Sardinia Pass number in advance. If you decide to book some of the suggested
accommodations, please do it as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
You must always present your pass to suppliers for them to record it and allow you to re-
deem your discount, access the attraction or use the services you purchased.

Alghero town centre you will find the perfect accommodation for a thoroughly re-

Lu Branu is a family-run farmhouse situated in 150 acres of land near Arzachena,

A fine example of military architecture built entirely in granite and considered

one of the most outstanding 19th century military fortresses in Europe. It can be
reached by taking the road to Punta Sardinia - Porto Rafael.
It was part of the defensive system built around the island of La Maddalena, to
protect the military base of La Regia Marina Sarda and the archipelago of La Madd-
alena, considered a strategic point. It was rebuilt and rearmed with anti-aircraft
artillery during the First and Second World War.

The Roccia dellOrso, or Bear Rock, named after its shape, is a huge granite rock
formation perched 122 meters above sea level, and dominating the surround-
ing landscape. It dates back to the late Paleozoic period, and was shaped by the
erosive action of wind and weather to finally assume its present bear shape: the
animal seems intent on monitoring the strait between the coast of Palau and the
island of La Maddalena.
In 1993, the Region of Sardinia, declared the Rock a natural monument.
The Roccia dellOrso can be accessed only by guided tour. It takes 15 minutes to
climb to the starting point, and once there the guided tour takes at least 30 min-
utes.

Fun for children and adults alike! Visitors can take part in tree climbing and tree-top
adventure courses in total safety, crawling through tunnels suspended at different
heights between the trees, thanks to ropes, hanging platforms, steel cables, rope

routes for children (who must be at least 1.2 metres in height, with arms raised)
and four adult routes (for visitors who are at least 1.45 metres in height, with arms
raised). The first tour always includes a thirty minute safety briefing.

Located just outside Alghero, Anghelu Ruju is the second largest pre-nuragic ne-
cropolis in Sardinia. It was discovered by chance in 1903 during excavation works
which uncovered a human skull and a cooking pot. In the following years, official
archaeological searches resulted in the discovery of 38 Domus de Janas, which trans-
lates as fairy houses in Sardinian. Some Domus de Janas were still sealed on discov-
ery, allowing archaeologists to understand and reconstruct local ancient burial rites.
NOTES Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The site is completely out-
doors and can be particularly hot and sunny during the summer. Visits may be
postponed in cases of adverse weather.

This fascinating archaeological site was discovered in 1959. The discovery had ex-
traordinary significance as it uncovered, for the first time in Sardinia, a complete
and untouched archaeological stratigraphy. This enabled archaeologists to place
all the cultural phases of Sardinian history in chronological order, from the recent
Neolithic era up to the Bronze Age, when the tomb was sealed for the last time.
Although smaller than Anghelu Ruju, this necropolis is one of the best examples
of house-like Domus de Janas. This is a very large tomb, which reproduces all the
structural elements of a house, with extremely intricate architectural details and
symbols carved into the rock.

The famous Nuraghe Palmavera is located in the outskirts of Alghero. It is con-

sidered a complex nuraghe as it is made of several towers that are connected to
each other. The first tower was probably built around 16th 15th century B.C. and
the rest were added in the 10th century B.C. The main complex was surrounded by
around forty huts and one larger hut that was used for meeting purposes.

Discover Sardinian wooden masks and their grotesque, animal-like appearance in

the fascinating museum in the little village of Mamoiada, home of the mysteri-
ous Sardinian Carnival. During your guided visit, you will see frightening wooden
masks and disguises made from animal skins, fur and cowbells, used to raise a
deafening noise during the Carnival celebrations. But do not be afraid! In ancient
times Sardinian shepherds and peasants thought that, despite their appearance,
these masks had a powerful positive influence on the outcome of their labour and
on the natural world. Because of this belief, the locals usually wait for them to
arrive and offer them food and drinks. Using local masks as a starting point, the
museum will take you to on cultural and historical journey, exploring the connec-
tions between the different traditional Mediterranean masks.

The Nuraghe Arrubiu dates back to 1800 - 1000 B.C. and is the largest Nuraghe in
Sardinia and the only five-lobed example recognized by archaeological literature.
Inside you can admire mighty walls, patios, walkways and tholos. The name Ar-
rubiu means red in Sardinian and refers to the colour of the stones and lichens that
characterize this nuraghe.
The visit to the Nuraghe is via a guided tour that will allow you to better under-
stand the history of this red giant. You should allow two hours for your visit.

This unparalleled structure is the most complete and representative example of a

complex Nuraghe and as such, it was declared a Unesco World Heritage site in 1997.
The architectural structure at Barumini consists of a central keep and a bastion of
four towers connected by straight curtain walls and surrounded by around 200 as-
sociated huts which formed the village. There is a cultural stratification of more
than 2000 years, from 1500 B.C. to seventh century A.D.
Your guide will lead you through the different types of houses until you will reach
the heart of the fascinating turreted complex.

An incredible site of both historical and archaeological interest, located at the heart of
Barumini village, in southern Sardinia. Casa Zapata is a beautiful ancient residence
which dates back to the late sixteenth century, when it was commissioned by the no-
ble family of Aragon Zapata. Remarkably, during some restoration work on the oldest
part of the building, a trefoil nuraghe, called Nuraxi 'e Cresia was discovered. The nur-
aghe is now visible from above, through a system of suspended walkways and glass
floors; other archaeological findings are also exhibited in the house. Two exhibition
areas, one historical and the other ethnographic, have been set up in the courtyard of
the ancient structures.

Get your PADI scuba certification in this natural paradise. The PADI Open Water Diver
course is the worlds most popular scuba. Learn to breathe underwater for the first
time (something youll always remember) and find out everything you need to

Departing from Stintino in a 12-seater RIB you will be taken to some of the most
breathtaking sites within the Asinara Island Natural Marine Reserve. The boat will

Taking its name from the archaeologist who discovered the Unesco site of Su
Nuraxi, this impressive modern exhibition centre houses a number of fascinat-
ing permanent exhibitions such as the Photographic Exhibition of the Su Nuraxi
excavations and many other temporary exhibitions of archaeological, historical,
artistic and natural interest. The Giovanni Lilliu centre is also the headquarters of
the Laboratorio di Ceramica Artistica which can be very convenient for families with
children, as parents can leave their kids here to attend creative ceramic workshops
while they visit Su Nuraxi or Casa Zapata. The workshops last 60 90 minutes and
run from Monday to Friday from 10:00 14:00. The price is 4 per child and just
one hours pre-booking is required. The centre is also a tourist information centre,
library, reading room and internet access point. Entrance to the Lilliu Centre is free
of charge and access to temporary exhibitions is included in the Su Nuraxi and Casa
Zapata joint ticket.

The Sardinia Pass entitles you to discounts, special offers, audio guides and admission to at-
tractions and/or experiences that have been purchased through one of the options or packa-
ges offered on the website. Following presentation and validation of the Pass, and without
further payment (unless otherwise stated prior to purchase), the holder will be granted
access to the services or products.
Your Sardinia Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Once used on-site in
Sardinia, the pass will expire one month after the first use. No replacements or refunds will
be offered for Passes that have been lost or stolen. If your Pass is lost or stolen you should
notify us as soon as possible so that we can block it and re-issue it if you wish. Any credit used
before the card is blocked will be lost.
Admission to attractions or experiences is subject to: a) the Pass being valid; b) availability
of sufficient funds on your Pass; c) availability of the attractions/experiences. All Providers
listed on our website or in the Guidebook are contractually bounded by PPT to provide the
products and/or services you purchase, subject to their normal admission criteria and pro-
cedures. PPT will make all reasonable endeavours to facilitate admission or other discounts
and offers in accordance with these terms, however, PPT shall not be responsible, or liable
for any loss, damage, expense, or inconvenience if any attraction, contrary to the terms of its
contract, unlawfully and with no reasonable cause, refuses admission or other offers. In this
specific and unlikely event, PPT will consider either refunding the Customer for the individual
service purchased or offering an alternative.
Admission to attractions and experiences, discounts and offers are subject to the booking
terms and conditions of each attraction. You will find booking information for each Provi-
der on our website or in this Guidebook; a telephone number or email address is provided
to handle enquiries about specific booking details. Admission to some attractions may be
subject to particular conditions (e.g. weather conditions, minimum numbers etc.) which are
beyond PPTs control. Providers will make every effort to offer you an alternative booking
time or an alternative service of equivalent value. If you have booked a pre-paid option you
will be able to use your credits with alternative attractions.
CANCELLING A SARDINIA PASS ORDER

Cancellation of an order is only accepted in the event that the Customer was charged more
for services than the price advertised on the website or in the event that the information
in this contract does not comply with reality or is proven to be untrue. In this case we will
refund the full cost of the purchased services. In all cases, cancellation requests will not be
considered if the Pass has been used.
If you have added a bundle of credits to your Sardinia Pass with a pre-paid option, cancel-
lations will only be accepted if the Pass has not been activated. Partial refunds for unspent
credits can be requested at info@sardiniapass.com. Our refund policy applies in all cases.
If you have added one or more individual experiences to your Sardinia Pass, cancellations
will only be accepted if the Pass has not been activated or the experience has not been boo-

ked. Attractions and Providers have different cancellation policies and you must comply with
them. You accept that you may lose any deposit paid for a reservation or booking. Partial
refunds for unspent credits can be requested at info@sardiniapass.com. Our refund policy
applies in all cases.
PROVIDERS BOOKING CONDITIONS
The Sardinia Pass is designed to give access to a wide variety of tourist services and activities. Each
Provider has its own booking procedure and payment system which must be complied with.
a) Accommodation
Most of our accommodation Providers offer discounts or free additional services to Sardi-
nia Pass holders. Their services are always subject to availability and some may request
a deposit to hold a reservation. Please note that the months of July and August are Sar-
dinias peak tourist season and if you wish to benefit from discounts or offers you should
book as far in advance as possible.
b) Rentals
Rentals of bikes, motorbikes, quad bikes, boats and cars are subject to availability and in
order to benefit from special offers and/or discounts you must book in advance, especially
if you are travelling during peak season (summer). Many suppliers will ask you to book by
credit card; please note that debit cards are not always accepted. You must check which
credit cards are accepted by the Provider and remember to present this card together with
your ID and any licence required when you collect your vehicle. Customers should check
the Rules and Restrictions of the rental Provider for details of all applicable booking crite-
ria.
c) Excursions, restaurants and attractions
Your Sardinia Pass enables you to either book an excursion or attraction or entitles you
to a discount or special offer on an excursion or attraction, which will be subject to the
Providers terms and conditions of booking and other factors such as weather conditions,
minimum numbers, availability, force majeure etc.
In such cases, the Attraction will make every effort to offer you an alternative booking
time or an alternative service of equivalent value. If you selected the Pay As You Go option,
you will be able to use your credits with alternative attractions.
Please note that Providers with limited availability may request your Pass number in ad-
vance and may still deduct your credits if you do not attend or give the requested cancel-
lation notice.
USING YOUR SARDINIA PASS

Your Sardinia Pass is for personal use and cannot be transferred or used by other people.
You must always present your pass to Providers for them to validate it in order for to redeem
your discount and access the attraction or services you have purchased. You will not be per-
mitted to enter attractions or use services without showing your Pass.
If you book a single experience and decide that you no longer wish to use it, the value of

the experience will be converted into credits that you may use to book other attractions or
services (this option will only be available if your card has not yet been activated).
Child admission: The Sardinia Child Pass is valid for children between 5 and 12 years of age
(inclusive). Most, but not all, attractions comply with the above definition of a Child and do
not charge admission for children under five years of age.
Special agreements may have been negotiated with Providers who charge admission for
children under 5; you can find more information about this in this Guidebook. You should
always check Providers Child policies or special Child offers on our website or in the Sardinia
Pass Guidebook.
The Provider may request proof of ID to verify the age of the Child. If you are unable to provi-
de this you may be denied access to the attraction or service.
REFUND POLICY
PPT consents to partial refunds if: a) the Pass was not activated b) the Pass has expired. In
all cases you must detail the amounts and services for which you are requesting a refund.
Refunds are only applicable for amounts in excess of 10. An admin fee of 5 applies to
all refunds.
If your Pass was active at any time during the 12 months after purchase we will not be able
to refund the cost of the Basic Pass.
PPT LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

All PPT Providers are independent contractors and are not agents, partners or employees
of PPT or of its affiliates. PPT and its affiliates are not responsible or liable for facts, errors,
omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such Providers or for
any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting from
using PPTs Providers, their premises and/or services. PPT and its affiliates have no liability
and will make no refund in the event of any delay, overbooking, strike, cancellation, force
majeure or other causes beyond their direct control, and they have no responsibility for any
additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority.
Although PPT has taken all reasonable care to ensure that only properly-run and reputable
Attractions of a good standard are included within the Sardinia Pass scheme. PPT shall not
be liable for any deficiencies of service, quality of merchandise or health and safety at any
particular attraction. Holders of the Sardinia Pass recognise and accept that they visit any
facility voluntarily and entirely at their own risk.
