Conference (EPIC)
EPIC is the dreamy vision of young undergraduate petroleum engineers, driven by
professionalism and enthusiasm. The vision of this conference is to bring students from all over the globe
into topnotch sessions given by experts from the industry and well known professors. Our mission is to
facilitate the learning process to our valuable attendees and provide them with the sufficient knowledge to
overtake.
The fruit of hard work and exceptional organization was translated into a staggering 212 attendees in the
first version of EPIC. Our organizing crew was successful to secure a superb number of conference
rooms, meeting rooms, and halls that have enough seats to accommodate for a number of attendees
reaching 300 persons. However, none of this would have happened without the keen help coming from
our university, The American University in Cairo (AUC), that is always eager to support any academic
event held by student associations.

Rough event program:

The event lasts for three days
Opening and closing speeches by the chapter presidents and event chairman
For the duration of the conference students attend technical session in a variety of topics ranging
from the very technical aspects of the industry to Human Resources trainings and some limited
number of talks about energy
The event hosts a paper contest and a trivia competition called (PetroPharoah)
