Celebration of 22nd Foundation Day


Forensic Science Laboratory is celebrating its 22nd Foundation Day today, i.e. on 18 Feb 2017.The
Foundation Day celebrations began at 11.30 AM inside the TECNIA Auditorium, where the Chief Guest
of the day, Honable Minister Home of Delhi Government Sh. Satyender Jain received the warm
welcome by Scientific Staff of FSL.

This was followed by a Deep Prajjwalan and Sarswati Vandana by the participants and a cultural
programme by the organising committee of various branches of FSL.

The highlights of the programme were: the story of FSL, as narrated by the Director FSL Dr.
Madhulika Sharma; the group song sung by emloyees of the Forensic Laboratory; the inspirational
song sung by Ms. Ruchi Gupta; the report of the Forensic was presented by the Director FSL.

The Chief Guest, , Honable Minister Home of Delhi Government recounted the contributions
made by Scientific Officers and Staffs of the FSL. He appreciated the efforts made by the Forensic
Experts who worked hard to bring down the pendency in all Division, specially the DNA Unit.
Further he added that Delhi Government will continue his efforts to provide the good working
condition not only for Forensic Laboratory but for all employees of the Delhi Government

He also announced free MRI check up and medical treatment of all Delhities in selected 30 hospitals,
23 polyclinics and 21 private labs of Delhi. He reiterated once again the Delhi Governments
concerned over quality education quality health.

The Director Dr. Madhulika Sharma addressed the audience and exhorted them to remember the
motive of the founders for which the Laboratory was established. She also revealed the future planning of
the FSL Delhi. At present, two Forensic Mobile Teams are catering the all thirteen Districts of Delhi. She
promised to deliver the Crime Scene Team instantly on the requirement of Delhi Police. She said that FSL
has sent the proposal to establish thirteen Mobile Crime Scene Units in each district of Delhi Police with its
head quarter at FSL, Rohini. Further she added that one more Regional Forensic Science Laboratory,
Bindapur, (Dwarka) is going to be start very soon.

Nodal Officer of the Forensic Science Laboratory Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta recited about the working of
FSL Control Room which is working round the clock to cater the Delhi Police requirement. He stated that
on the call of Delhi Police Station, Control Room arranges the Forensic Team and instantly deliver it to
concerned Police Station.

Organizing Committee Chairman Sh. Amar Pal Singh Asst. Dir. (Chemistry) expressed his special thanks to
every participants of laboratory.
