Required Pre-Lab Configuration

This section is meant to help setup the lab to the proper configuration. If you are the lab attendee, please ignore this Pre-Lab
Checks section and go the Using IntelliCENTER Integration Assistant section.

IMC Demo Box Device Configuration

PowerFlex 755

1. Verify the I/O option module has been added to Slot 7. Options modules should be added prior to
energizing the demo.

2. Energize the drive demo: back view of IMC Demo box. Put the switch by the plug in the | position
and put the breaker switch in the up position.

Make sure the E-Stop is pulled out (toward you)

3. Verify that the PowerFlex 755 drives IP Address Switches are set to 030.

If the address is not 030, set this by adjusting the rotary switches. After adjusting the switches, cycle
power to drive demo.

4. If the PowerFlex 755 is faulted, then reset the fault by clicking the red stop button on the HIM.

Drive Configuration (REQUIRED!!!!!)
This drive configuration process is required due to L05 PowerFlex Drive lab and L14 IntelliCENTER
lab using the same PowerFlex 755 drive with different configurations respectively. These particular steps
are required before every L14 Speed Integration(IntelliCENTER) lab session.
1. Put processor into Program Mode (right key position) then Remote Mode (middle key position)
2. Open the IMCE11B_012A_IntelliCENTERLab_DeviceCfgs.ACD file located in the C:\Lab
Files\L14 - Speed Integration with Ethernet-enabled CENTERLINE MCCs, Rockwell Software
Studio 5000 and IntelliCENTER Software\Configuration Files folder.
3. Open the PF755_Drive module within the I/O tree.
4. Go to the Drive Tab and click the Download button / icon to download the drives configuration for this
lab.
5. When the I/O Configuration difference screen appears, click Use Project and click Continue
6. Click Download to send down the drive configuration.
7. Once the drive configuration has been downloaded to the drive, then click Ok.
8. Download the project file to the controller. Keep the controller in Program Mode.

Disable DeviceLogix Program

If a DeviceLogix Program is loaded and running in the PowerFlex 755 demo, the DeviceLogix logic needs
to be disabled and the drive reset prior to conducting the lab.
1. Use Drive Executive or Connected Components Workbench to connect to the drive. These steps can also be completed
using the HIM.
2. Navigate to the Status & Control parameters under the DeviceLogix port

3. Set parameter #53 DLX Operation to DisableLogic

13 of 22
4. Next, highlight 0 PowerFlex 755, right-click and select Reset Drive

(For the HIMselect Port 0, select DIAGNOSTIC folder then Reset Device.)

5. Finally, click OK to reset the drive. Communications will be lost at this time.

(For the HIMwhen prompted to confirm reset device, click ENTER.)

E300 Overload
In order to modify parameters in the E300, you will need to access the web interface. Follow the steps below to enable and
access the web interface for the E300.

1. Verify that the E300 PHASE LOSS switch is in the left position and the E300 Hand-Off-Auto is
turned to OFF.

2. Set the EXT. MOTOR switch to E300 for the lab.

3. If the E300 is faulted, then reset the fault by clicking the TEST/RESET button on the E300.
4. Locate the E300 Overload and slide down the front cover on the device to access the three rotary
switches that are used to set the last octet of the IP Address.

15 of 22
5. Verify that the rotary switches are set to 0 - 2 - 1 to represent the IP Address 192.168.1.21.
6. Cycle power on the device by removing the 120 VAC connector located behind the EtherNet/IP ports.
7. Open Internet Explorer.
8. Type the IP Address of the E300 (192.168.1.21) in the browsers URL window and press Enter.

9. Slide down the front cover on the device to access the three rotary switches that are used to set the
last octet of the IP Address.

10. To enter Administrative Mode, use a small flat blade screwdriver to turn all three of the rotary
switches to 0 - 0 - 0.
11. Cycle power on the device by removing the 120 VAC connector located behind the EtherNet/IP ports.
12. Type the IP Address of the E300 (192.168.1.21) in the browsers URL window and press ENTER to
access the web server. The device is now in Administrative Mode.

16 of 22
10. Select Administrative Setting from the menu on the left side of the screen.

13. Select Network Configuration from the expanded menu

17 of 22
14. You will be prompted to enter a User Name and Password in order to view these settings. Type
Administrator for the User Name and enter the serial number of the E300 communication module
into the Password field. Then select OK.

15. After you have access to the Network Configuration menu, locate the Web Server Control dropdown
menu and select Always Enabled. This will permanently enable the web server and disable the
rotary switches on the E300.

Locate the Network Interface information and type the IP Address (192.168.1.21) and Subnet Mask
(255.255.255.0) into the appropriate boxes.

If needed, download the IMCE11B_012A_IntellicenterLab_DeviceCfgs.ACD to the 1756-L75 controller to ensure

proper E300 Overload operation. You can also use this file to downlaod the proper drive configuration as well.
Utilize the Drive Tab within the Add-On Profile.
This file is located at C:\Lab Files\L14 - Speed Integration with Ethernet-enabled CENTERLINE MCCs, Rockwell
