toanindividualorentiregroup,whichresultsinthelimitingopportunitiesforthe

Duetoanumberofsimilaritiesbetweenthesetwo,peopleoftenmisinterpret
prejudicefordiscrimination,buttheyretwoverydifferentconcepts.Inthepurest

theattitudeofprejudice.
Inotherwords,discriminationiswhenwetreatthemembersofaparticulargroup
differentlyespeciallyinapoormannerduetotheirgroupaffiliation.Most
commonlypeoplearediscriminatedonthegroundsofage,sex,height,weight,skin
color,disease,disability,maritalstatus,education,speech,clothing,socio
economicstatus,andsoforth.

onlybecauseofhismembershipinasocialgroup.Theunjustor
negativetreatmentofapersonoragroupfromotherpeoplebecause

discrimination.

treatmentortreatingpeopledifferentlyonthebasisofindividualsfeelingsand
preferences,whichisveryapparent.Theseareantisocialbehavior,presentin
almostallthecountries,thatmaycausestressandtensionamongvariousgroup
andmayalsoresultinharmtothegrouptowhomitisdirected.
