SCENE 1
EXT. CITY NEAR A TYRRHENIAN SEA - MIDDAY
FS - CAMERA 1
The camera shows kite flying in the sky. Slowly camera moves
below the kite.
CA - CAMERA 1
Below the kite Leonard is walking towards the bridge.
FS - CAMERA 1
The camera follows little fella till the bridge.
POV - CAMERA 1
The Camera moves closer to the water mill. (First Person)
FS - CAMERA 1
Shows how the boy walks for a while and then sits under the
bridge.
POV - CAMERA 1
Atmospheric view from boy perspective.
HIGH ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Shows how the boy is sitting. After few seconds one bird
flies close to him, jumps around and looks at the boy.
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Boy is searching for bread in his bag.
EYE LEVEL - CAMERA 1
Shows how the boy pulls out bread and splits it.
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Leo gives pieces of bread to the bird.
PUSH IN - CAMERA 1
The camera shows the boys hand. In his palm we see bread
pieces. The bird looks at him for a while. Then looks at his
hand. Without any bought the bird starts picking bread from
his hand. (CAMERA ZOOMS OUT OF HIS HAND)
MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1
The boy smiles and laughs. After a while the bird flaps his
wings. He notices how the bird wings are working and the way
of working he draws in his sketchbook.
CA - CAMERA 1
Shows what boy drew.
FS - CAMERA 1
Bird looks into the sky for a while. Then flies away. Leo
looks up to it.
FS - CAMERA 1
The boy stands up and starts walking.
CA - CAMERA 1
While walking he looks up and sees a kite.
MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1
After a few seconds he accidently hits his face against
someone's back. The bully turns back at him and pushes him
on the ground.
FS - CAMERA 1
While Leo falls he drop his sketchbooks. Bully notices his
sketchbook and picks it up. He flips sketchbooks pages.
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Bully starts laughing at his sketches. Some of The Bullys
friends behind him laughs together with him.
PROFILE SHOT - CAMERA 1
Leo becomes sad and looks down, after few seconds he looks
back at the bully. The bully shows one page in Leos
sketchbook that he wants to have a kite race.
OSS - CAMERA 1
The Bully shows to Leo where the race going to begin.
MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1
Leonard nods at him. (Accepts his challenge)
INT. LABORATORY
FS - CAMERA 1
Leo stands up and runs back home. Then we see how the boy
enters his house. In the the background we see the
laboratory.
SCENE 2
CA - CAMERA 1
Kite floats pass by the camera, revealing Leo and the Bully.
HIGH ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Leonard looks down the edge of the hill.
FS - CAMERA 1
Both boys are ready for the race. After few seconds the race
begin after (shot), both jump from the hill.
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Leo closes his eyes and pulls the lever which opens his
bigger wings of the kite.
FS - CAMERA 1
We see how the boy swoops upwards with a smile.
HIGH ANGLE - CAMERA 1
The boys are flying above the bridge where they first
met.(It's their finish line).
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Leo closes his wings and dives underneath the bully.
Catching high speed, he glides under the bridge and wins the
race.
FS - CAMERA 1
From happiness Leo flies upwards and spins. While the camera
starts to look up the sky. And follows up to the flying
kite.
SCENE 3
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
Shows kite from below. (While the camera moves up the sky).
SCENE 4
INT. LABORATORY
LOW ANGLE - CAMERA 1
The camera goes down the Leos sketches and stops on the
sketchbook. Light breeze blows and the sketchbooks pages
start to flip. On the final page we see "THE END" with his
more developed invention sketch.
