oceanic and atmospheric circulation, and it is possible that mountain
BUILDING may increase rates of weathering to the point that a significant
AMOUNT of carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere, LEADING TO
A DROP IN temperature.
7. The SHRINKING of the north polar ice cap WILL RENDER most of the
Arctic Ocean free floating ice that will melt and raise the sea level over
time. THE RAISING of sea level WILL ALSO BE influenced by other factors.
