GERUND

A gerund is a verb that ends in -ing and functions as a noun.

Gerund as a subject:

Travelling might satisfy your desire for new experiences.

Finding a parking space is quite difficult in this area.

Gerund as an object:

They do not appreciate my singing.

I dont like dancing because Im not a good dancer.

Gerund as a complement of the verb to be:

My cat's favourite activity is sleeping.

Matts hobby is playing guitar.

Gerund as object of preposition:

The police arrested him for speeding.

They kept on calling but no one picked up the phone.

I am worried about failing my examination.
