ROBOCON04: Inthisprestigiousroboticscompetition,weweretodesignautonomousrobotsfor
pickingupblocksfromcertainfixedpositionsandtoplacethematagivenspot.Forcontrollingthese
robots,IusedRabbitCoreMicroprocessor(R3000)withitsRCM3400prototypeboardandDynamicC
programminglanguage,MIPandL298motorcontrollers,MaxonMotorsetc.Wewerethesemifinalistin
thiscompetition.

ProgrammableBlocks: Thisprojectaimsatdevelopingacosteffectivephysicalprogrammingtoolfor
programmingmachines,robots,motorcontrollersandevenhouseholdelectronicapplianceswithoutthe
useofcomputers.PICmicrocontrollersandL298motorcontrollerswereusedforthispurposealongwith
other chips and components.PCBs ofthe blocks and the basecontrollerwere designed on ORCAD
CaptureandLayoutPlus.

Micromouse: ThisautonomousroboticscompetitionwasapartofYantrikiatIITBombay,2004.We
weresupposedtomakeanautonomousrobotthatcansolveanygivenmaze.Foraccomplishingthistask
wedevelopedanalgorithmforthesameandusedPIC16F877microcontrollerforimplementingthesame.

RFIDs: ThisongoingprojectaimsatcreatinganidentificationsystemusingRadioFrequencyPassive
IdentificationChips.MCRF451passiveRFIDchipsarebeingused.

FFTPackage(partofFundamentalsofComputingCourse): ThisJAVAsoftwareaimedatfinding
theFFT,DFT,convolution,wavelettransformetc.oftheentereddata.

MechanicalEquivalentofagramophone(partofManufacturingProcessesCourse): Thisproject
wasdoneunderthemanufacturingprocessescourseinsecondyearinwhichwedesignedamechanical
modelofagramophone.Inthisproject,rotatorymotionprovidedbytheuserwasconvertedtoaspiral
motionbytheuseofbevelgears,rack&pinions,pulleysetc.
