Muslim Legal Fund of Americas Leadership Conference for Justice delivers practical information about
laws impacting Muslim nonprofit organizations and the imams, mosque staff and board members, Muslim
nonprofit staff and board members as well as community leaders and attorneys who serve them.

The goal of this one-day intensive law conference is to equip Muslim community leaders with the
knowledge and resources for successfully navigating the increasingly complicated legal landscape
affecting Muslims in America.

During the conference, MLFA will introduce MLFAs flagship project Constitutional Law Center for
Muslims in America: and its new strategic Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) program for
American Muslim nonprofits that aims to:

1. Identifying risk that may cause leadership and/or organizational liability.


2. Provide legal advice, assistance and counsel to mitigate any identified risk.

The Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU) launched the Reimagining Muslim Spaces project.
It aims to help American Muslim communities build more accessible and community friendly mosques by
reducing barriers to engagement and increasing mosque capacity. This session includes key research-
backed recommendations from the ISPU study, followed by an interactive session with participants.
