Using the CSN Education Website

1. Field Observation Teacher Packet This resource is to

be filled out during your required field observation. It has
assignments that need to be done while you are doing your
observation.

Ten hour Community Service Packet This is the packet where

you log your community service hours for EDU classes.

Field Observation Teacher Packet: While performing your field

observation this is where your cooperating teacher signs off on
your hours.

2. A: CSNs introductory courses require all students to complete a

ten-hour Field Observation in one of CCSDs public schools.

B: Students are NOT ALLOWED to contact schools, principals, or

teaching staff themselves in order to arrange their own
placement.

C: During your first school visit, both you and your assigned
cooperating teacher will design a mutually agreeable schedule in
order for you to complete the remainder of your
required (10) contact hours.

3. The three resources are databases where you can search for
your research topic. The three are: Books database, Films
database, and Articles database.

4. Standards describe what students need to know and be able to

do at each grade level. In Nevada, these standards are
considered the floor, not the ceiling, for student learning and
performance. This document serves as a framework to guide
districts in creating their curriculum based on the state
standards. It is essential that the standards are not taught in
isolation; rather, multiple standards are taught within a single
lesson ensuring teachers, students, and parents make the
connections between reading and writing to enhance
performance.

Communication and Collaboration: Students use digital media

and environments to communicate and work collaboratively,
including at a distance, to support individual learning and
contribute to the learning of others.

3. The Alternative Routes to Licensure is a program that takes

people with Bachelors degrees in other fields than Education,
and allows them to earn a license to teach.

of the upcoming class reunions are posted. This is mainly for
past CCSD students.

5. Scholarships On this link parents can help their children do

research on available scholarships. College is expensive, and
scholarships help parents afford it.
