reparing for both the exams at the same time can be daunting, but its
not an impossible task. Aakash Chaudhry, Director - Aakash Educa-
tional Services ensures that if you move ahead with a clear strategy
and good planning, then it becomes quite feasible to manage both the exams.

times demotivate or even distract students. To overcome this problem, stu-
dents have to internalize the fact that they have to be adept at multi-tasking.
The troika of efficient time-management, carefully crafted strategy and judi-
cious planning can help them immensely in their quest to breeze through
both the exams.

good score in the boards to be able to explore other lucrative career options.

If one can follow the below mentioned action points, he/she will be able to
pass both the exams with flying colors.

Action points for balancing board exams and JEE Main simul-

separately. This will eliminate confusion regarding the topics that need to be covered.

After making the list, it will also become apparent that the syllabus for JEE and board
exams is more or less similar. The chapters covered in board exam are theoretical in
nature while those of JEE are concept-based. However, broadly the topics are same.
Making this list will help in alleviating fear regarding the scope of concepts that have
to be understood and learnt.

zz Confront Challenges: Studying the vast syllabus of both the exams can be really chal-
lenging. The solution to this problem lies in confronting the challenge by making week-
ly plans and assessing performance regularly. This way, students will know where they
stand for each exam and can focus on improving their preparation accordingly.

zz Studying NCERT Books: Studying NCERT books thoroughly is enough for holistic
preparation of both JEE and board exams. For additional help, students can also study
from one or two reference books of renowned authors.

zz Sectional Tests: In order to develop a strong foundation of concepts and theories,

students can take up sectional tests. It will assist them in managing the available time
judiciously and recognizing areas they are lacking in. Once they are done with the sec-
tional tests, they can opt for mock tests to further enhance their preparation.

For Mathematics paper, due weightage is given for writing formulae clearly
and correctly. Hence, it is of prime importance to be well-versed with the the-
orems and formulae.

Physics is a purely concept-based subject that needs to be understood and

not to be mugged up. Students should have a clear-cut understanding of fun-
damentals. Mechanics and Electrodynamics are main parts of Physics. More
time on these units should be devoted.
