CAS Stages complete questions below:

1) Investigation - what are your goals for this CAS experience?
My goals for this CAS experience are as follows; to plan, design and conduct a
successful event where students from different high schools on the island will come
together and hear the presentations of four talented Bahamian speakers; to work
together with high school students from different schools and hopefully developing new
friendships in the process; to motivate and encourage other student speakers to speak
up and get their voices heard; and to develop leadership skills and critical thinking skills.

2) Preparation briefly identify your plan of action and include an approximate

timeline.
This CAS experience will last for about four months. For the first three months (October
- December) there will be intense planning of the event. The members of the committee,
including myself, will be responsible for speaking with businesses (printing companies,
photographers, food vendors) on the island that will be needed to make our event
successful. We will have to decide on a suitable date and location for the event and find
cost effective ways of meeting the event's needs and ensuring it's success. We will also
have to decide on venue and organize fundraisers to assist with paying for the event.
The event will be held at the end of January.

3) Action - how will you accomplish your goals? Who will be involved?
I will accomplish my goals by attending the weekly meetings at Sister Mary Patricia
Russell Junior High School. These meetings will be composed of all of the high school
committee members and the adult advisers that would supervise the students. I assume
that all students will be given a task that they would be responsible for it will be my job
to complete these tasks in order for my goals to be accomplished. This event requires
my dedication and effort in order for goals to be met and the event to be a success.

4) Reflection - what were your expectations? What did you hope to gain from this
experience? What did you learn? What are your next steps? How are the Learner
Profile attributes incorporated?
I expect the event to be planned and projected by high school students to display
our capabilities and potential. I hope to learn the importance of giving young
persons a chance because I believe that they do too have fresh and innovative
ideas, which may not be thought of by some older persons. I also want to learn
how to take responsibility and complete tasks that are assigned to me on a timely
and efficient manner. I want to gain knowledge on how to organize and set up an
event in the future. After this event, my main goals is to encourage other high
school students to participate in TedX youth because it is an amazing
organization to be apart of.

5) Demonstration what evidence will you use to show you have completed your
goals?
I will use photos to show I have completed my goals
