Yaya: Can u please stop Allahuakbar Ataghfirullahalazim and what not? Its
annoying!
Akmal: Astaghfirullahalazim! My wife! How could you say that? Its our
obligation----
Yaya: but! Ergghh ! Im fucking tired to keep the house clean? But you always
throw your sandwiches everywhere.
Akmal: Sandwiches? What is that? Oh my sandwich! I thought its my banana
and
Yaya: Abang! Do u know our daughter, Kathijah is coming home to introduce
her boyfriend to us? U know, kathijah! K-A-T-H-Y~
Akmal: Really?!!!
Sofia: (knock the door- screeeetttttt!) Assalamualaikum! Coz im happy~ clap
along .
(Akmal Yaya freeze)
Sofia: Bae~ Bae~ baby~ this is my house at Kampung Banana.
Haziq: Kampung? What is kampung? Oh u mean banana fritters? Oh shit! I
forgot to zip it!
Sofia: its rumah papan! Very old skool house. And this is my abah. Abah, this
is Michael Jackson, but people call him Mickey.
Haziq: wassup bruh! (shakes hand with Akmal)
Akmal Yaya: what? Monkey? His name is Monkey??!!!

(Akmal Haziq subtext, slowly moving to the left of the stage)

(Yaya Sofia subtext, slowly moving to the right stage)
Aishah enter and go to the centre of the stage. Trying to grab attention.
Finally she screams! Everyone look at her sharply, no voice coming out.
Yaya: whats wrong my dear? Does u want anything?
Aishah: mommy! Someone teased me because im different at school today
Yaya: What??!! What so different about u? I think u just like other people, so
cute and tembam. Itsokay, let me tell u story about being different. Start to
sing,
U says Im different,
Coz u dont think Im just a human
But when u teased me a baby,
It makes me wanna cry so much.
(while singing, everyone moves naturally back to ur own position in
formation. After Haziq gives a signal: the fuck, Sofia, Aishah and Haziq turn
back)
Yaya: Abg, please help me comfort our daughter. It hurts her so much.
Akmal: oh, about one eye, two eyes and three eyes? Orait my dear.

Scene 1
AKMAL: If im not mistaken there were three sisters who lived alone in a
cottage in the woods (syair)
HAZIQ: They had been there as long as they could remember, and they
never saw anyone else.
AKMAL: Now, the oldest sister was no different from other people. Her name
was One Eye.
She had just one eye, right in the middle of her forehead.
ONE EYE: (steps toward audience, points at the middle of her forehead, then
steps back)
HAZIQ: The middle sister was also quite ordinary. Her name was Three Eyes.
She had one eye in her forehead, and one on each side of her face.
THREE EYES: (steps toward audience, points at the middle of her forehead
and at each eye, then steps back)
HAZIQ: But the youngest sister was different. Her name was Two Eyes, and
thats just what she had.
(TWO EYES steps toward audience, points at each eye, gives an
embarrassed smile and a broad shrug, then steps back, while ONEEYE and
THREEEYES give her dirty looks.)
AKMAL: Because Two Eyes was not like others, her older sisters were
ashamed of her and picked on her all the time.
HAZIQ: They dressed her in ragged hand-me-downs, and they only let her
eat leftovers.
TWOEYES: (making a face and whining) Yuck.

SCENE 2
SOFIA: Now, the sisters owned a cat
CAT: (meowwww)
SOFIA: and every day Two Eyes took him to the woods for a walk.
AISHAH: She ran into the woods, sat under a big tree and cried her two eyes
out
TWOEYES: (bursts out in exaggerated crying and sobbing)
AISHAH: All at once, a Genie stood before her. (Genie pops into place and
sways, looking dazed. TWOEYES stares at Genie, forgetting to cry.)
SOFIA: But the biggest surprise was that this genie had two eyes, just like
Two Eyes herself.
GENIE: (smiles at audience, quickly points at each eye, then turns to
TWOEYES)
AISHAH: The woman asked,
GENIE: (kindly) whats wrong, my dear?
TWOEYES: (bursts out crying and sobbing again, then whining) Its my
sisters. They never give me enough to eat. (wails in grief)
GENIE: (shakes his head and clucks) dont worry about that!
You can have as much as you like. Just say to your cat,
Into the woods, please cat please,
I have to eat, I have to eat!
Then youll have plenty. When you dont want any more, just say,
Into the woods, stop cat stop,
Theres so much to eat, so much to eat!
Then the rest will vanish. Just like this.
AISHAH: And the genie vanished
(GENIE pops out, and TWOEYES looks around in surprise, trying to see
where she went.)
SOFIA: just
AISHAH: like
AISHAH & SOFIA: that.
SOFIA: Two Eyes couldnt wait to try. She said to the cat,
TWOEYES: (eagerly)
Into the woods, please cat please,
I have to eat, I have to eat!
AISHAH: The cat meowww
CAT: (meowww)
AISHAH: The table was set with a tablecloth, plate, and silverware, and on it
were dishes and dishes of wonderful smelling food. (Haziq & Sofia form a
table)
TWOEYES: This sure is better than leftovers!
SOFIA: Two Eyes sat down and started in hungrily. Everything tasted
delicious.
AISHAH: When shed eaten her fill, she said,
TWOEYES: (to GOAT)
Into the woods, stop cat stop,
Theres so much to eat, so much to eat!
CAT: (meowwww)
AISHAH: and the table vanished. (Haziq & Sofia get up, with
woossshhhhhh)
TWOEYES: And thats better than cleaning up! Lets get home, cat.

SCENE 3
HAZIQ: When Two Eyes got home, she didnt touch her bowl of leftovers.
AKMAL: Her sisters didnt notice till shed gone off to bed. Then Three Eyes
said,
SOFIA: (excitedly, pointing at the food) Look! Our little sister didnt eat
anything!
AISHAH: (suspiciously) Thats strange. Is someone else giving her food? Ill go
tomorrow and watch her.
SCENE 4
SOFIA: Next morning, when Two Eyes started out, One Eye said,
ONE EYE: (sternly) Im coming along to make sure you walk the cat properly
to the vet.
SOFIA: As in veterinary, everyone.
SOFIA: Then she followed Two Eyes go to the park and kept a careful eye on
her.
SOFIA: So Two Eyes never got to use the genies rhyme.
TWO EYES: (whimpers, on verge of tears)
SOFIA: When they got home, Two Eyes ate her bowl of leftovers. Then she
went off to the woods and cried her two eyes out. (Bursts out crying and
sobbing)
SOFIA: The Genie appeared again.
GENIE: (pops into place looking dazed, then turns to TWOEYES) Whats
wrong, my dear?
TWO EYES: (sobbing and whining) Its my sisters. The cat cant bring me
food, because One Eye is watching me. (wails in grief)
GENIE: (shakes her head and clucks) Dont worry about that! You can stop
her if you like. Just sing her this song. (singing)
 Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
Keep singing that, and shell sleep soon enough.
SOFIA: Then the old woman vanished.
GENIE: (pops out)

SCENE 5
SOFIA: Next morning, when Two Eyes went to the park, One Eye again went
along.
TWO EYES: Sister, let me sing to you. (singing)
Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
HAZIQ: One Eyes eyelid began to droop, and soon she was fast asleep.
(ONEEYE closes her eyes and snores. TWOEYES checks her sisters eye
carefully before turning away.)
SOFIA: Then Two Eyes said to the cat,
TWO EYES:(in a loud whisper)
Into the woods, please cat please,
I have to eat, I have to eat!
CAT: (meoowww)
HAZIQ: the table appeared (Haziq & Sofia form a table again), and Two
Eyes ate her fill. Then she said,
TWOEYES: (in a loud whisper, to CAT)
Into the woods, stop cat stop,
Theres so much to eat, so much to eat!
CAT: (meooww)
HAZIQ: and the table vanished. (Haziq & Sofia get up, whooshhhh!) Then
Two Eyes shook her
sister.
TWOEYES: Wake up, sleepyhead!
(ONEEYE wakes with a grunt, looking surprised and disgruntled, while
TWOEYES smiles at her innocently.)
CAT: (meoowwww)
HAZIQ: When they got home, Two Eyes didnt touch her leftovers. After shed
gone off to bed, Three Eyes asked,
THREEEYES: (excitedly) What happened?
ONEEYE: (grumpily) How should I know? I fell asleep. If you think you can do
better, then you go tomorrow.

SCENE 6
AISHAH: So next morning, when Two Eyes went to the woods, Three Eyes
went along and kept three careful eyes on her. Two Eyes said,
TWO EYES: Listen, sister, and Ill sing to you.
TWO EYES:(singing)
Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
Is your eye awake?
Is your eye asleep?
AISHAH: As Two Eyes sang, the eye in her sisters forehead went to sleep
but her other two eyes didnt! (THREEEYES closes her eyes and starts to
snore. TWOEYES checks her sisters eyes carefully.)
HAZIQ: Three Eyes pretended, though, by closing them almost all the way
and peeking through.
(As TWOEYES turns away, THREEEYES peeks and stops snoring.)
HAZIQ: She couldnt quite hear what Two Eyes told the cat
TWOEYES: (in a loud whisper)
Into the woods, please cat please,
 I have to eat, I have to eat!
CAT: (meoowww)
HAZIQ: but she saw everything.
THREEEYES: (still peeking, smiles wickedly)
NARRATOR 1: That night, when Two Eyes had gone off to bed, One Eye asked,
ONEEYE: What happened?
THREEEYE: (excitedly) Our sister knows a charm to make the cat bring
wonderful food. (dejectedly) But I couldnt hear the words.
ONEEYE: Then lets get rid of the cat.
HAZIQ: And they drove it off into the woods. (ONEEYE and THREEEYES drive
away GOAT, shouting nastily and throwing things at it, while GOAT bleats as
it goes off.)

SCENE 7
AKMAL: Next morning, One Eye told Two Eyes,
ONEEYE: (accusingly) You thought you could eat better than your sisters, did
you? Well, the goat is gone, so thats that.
AKMAL: Two Eyes went down to the stream and cried her two eyes out.
TWOEYES: (bursts out crying and sobbing)
AKMAL: Again the genie appeared.
GENIE: (pops into place looking dazed, then turns to TWOEYES) Whats
wrong, my dear?
TWOEYES: (sobbing and whining) Its my sisters. The song didnt work on
Three Eyes. She saw everything, and now theyve chased away the cat.
(wails in grief)
GENIE: (shakes his head and clucks) Silly girl! That charm was just for One
Eye. For Three Eyes,
you should have sung,
Are your eyes awake?
Are your eyes asleep?
But dont worry about that. Here
(GENIE reaches out with something tiny held between her fingers and places
it in TWOEYESs palm. TWOEYES pulls it close to peer at it.)
GENIE: take this seed and plant it in front of your cottage. Youll soon have
a tall tree with leaves of silver and apples of gold. When you want an apple,
just say, (with hand outstretched, palm up)
Apple Apple hanging on the tree,
Its me, Two Eyes. Please come down for me!

It will fall right into your hand. (mimes catching the apple, his hand dropping
a bit under its weight and bouncing back up)
SOFIA: Again the genie vanished.
GENIE: (pops out)
SOFIA: Two Eyes went home and waited till her sisters werent looking, then
dug a small hole and planted the seed.

SCENE 8
YAYA: The next morning, a tall tree stood before the cottage with leaves of
silver and apples of gold. Two Eyes found her sisters gaping at it in
astonishment. (ONEEYE and THREEEYES both stare up into the tree, till
THREEEYES notices something in the distance.)
YAYA: All at once, Three Eyes cried,
THREEEYES: (excitedly, pointing) Look! A man!
HAZIQ: Walking toward them was a knight in full armor, his visor over his
face.
KNIGHT: (still at a distance, enjoying the morning and the leisurely walk)
ONEEYE: (urgently, to THREEEYES)Quick! Hide our little sister!
HAZIQ: So they lowered an empty barrel over Two Eyes.
KNIGHT: (pleasantly, as he reaches them and stops) Good morning, ladies.
Beautiful tree you have there. (thoughtfully, gazing up into the tree) I would
dearly love to have one of those apples. In fact, I would grant anything in my
power to the lady who first gave me one.
HAZIQ: The two sisters gasped.
ONEEYE & THREEEYES: (gasp)
HAZIQ: They scrambled over to the tree and jumped up and down, trying to
grab the apples.
HAZIQ: But the branches just lifted themselves higher, so the apples were
always out of reach.
(TWOEYES lifts the barrel slightly by pushing up with her hand from inside,
then kicks the stone out from underneath. KNIGHT looks down at the stone,
perplexed.)
KNIGHT: Thats odd. (pointing first at the stone, then at the barrel) That stone
seems to have come from that barrel. (still to ONEEYE and THREEEYES) Does
anyone happen to be in there?
ONEEYE: Oh no, sir, not really. (reassuringly) Just our little sister.
THREEEYES: (confidentially, leaning toward him) Shes different, so
we cant let anyone see her.

KNIGHT: But I want to see her. (to TWOEYES

inside the barrel) Young lady, please come out!

HAZIQ: So Two Eyes lifted off the barrel.
KNIGHT: (gaping) My word! Shes the loveliest young lady Ive ever seen!
HAZIQ: He raised his visor for a better look. (raises his visor and keeps
gazing at TWOEYES)
ONEEYE & THREEEYES: (screaming out together at the sight of his face) Oh
no! Two eyes!
TWO EYES: Sure enough, the knight had two eyes, just like me.
KNIGHT: (leans and smiles toward audience, quickly points at each eye, then
goes back to gazing at TWOEYES) Dear lady, can you give me an apple from
that tree?
TWOEYES: (brightly) Of course!
HAZIQ: Standing under it, she said,
TWO EYES: (looking up, with hand outstretched, palm up)
 Apple Apple hanging on the tree,
Its me, Two Eyes. Please come down for me!

HAZIQ: An apple dropped right into her hand, and she gave it to the knight.
(TWOEYES watches an apple fall and catches it, her hand dropping a bit
under its weight and bouncing back up. She hands it to KNIGHT, who takes it
from her.)
KNIGHT: My thanks! (takes a big, noisy bite, then chews noisily and mumbles
with his mouth full) And now I will grant anything in my power. (keeps
chewing)
TWOEYES: (starting to speak to KNIGHT normally but ending up yelling at
ONEEYE and THREEEYES) Well, to start with, you can take me away from
these horrid, hateful sisters! (turns back to KNIGHT and smiles sweetly)
KNIGHT: (stops chewing in surprise, then looks at ONEEYE and THREEEYES,
then back at TWOEYES and returns her smile)
KNIGHT: Of course sweetheart, lets go to my castle. (smile charmingly)

SCENE 9
HAZIQ: So the Knight took Two Eyes to his castle. And since they had so
much in common, if u know what I mean
AKMAL: After all, they both had two eyes.
YAYA: you can be sure they lived happily ever . . . .
(HAZIQ clears throat to interrupt and get attention. As ALL OTHERS turn in
surprise HAZIQ gestures for them to wait for the bit left to go.)
HAZIQ: (turns again to audience) As for One Eye and Three Eyes . . .
(ALL OTHERS catch on and resume their roles.)
AKMAL: Day after day they stood under that tree and repeated their sisters
words.
ONEEYE & THREEEYES: (looking up hopefully, each with hand outstretched,
palm up)
Apple Apple hanging on the tree,
 Its me, Two Eyes. Please come down for me!
YAYA: But the apples never fell for them,
HAZIQ: and they never did
AKMAL: figure out
TOGETHER: why. (yaya, akmal & Haziq face the audience, while sofia &
aishah look at the tree)

SCENE 10

(OGGY soundtrack song: zhaiiiii zaiiii zaiiiiii)

(Sing the song , naturally get back to introductions formation.)

AKMAL: Well, my daughter. Theres nothing wrong being different.

MasyaAllah. Hey you! Were not done yet! How come ur name is Monkey?
(slowly it the conversations become subtext)

YAYA: Oh yeahh. I just remember, where the heck did u find this monkey guy?
(slowly become subtext)

AISHAH: I think I got the points now. Just be urself.bla.blabla

U say Im different,

Coz u dont think Im just a human,

But when other people tease me,

Theyre actually being jealous.
