How to Upload Your Assignment

Uploading the Assignment for the first time (availing your first attempt):

1. Go to the assignment page and click on the Add Submission button.

2. Click on the Add button.

3. Click on Choose File, select your assignment file and then press the Upload this file button.

4. Press Save changes button.

5. Now you can see that your file has been uploaded and its in the Draft mode. Here onward
you have two options:

A. You can upload an updated file in case you want to, by pressing the Edit submission
button.

B. You can submit your file for plagiarism checking/verification and grading by pressing
the Submit assignment button.

Important Note: The file will remain in draft mode and will not be considered for grading until
you press the Submit assignment button. Therefore, pressing the Submit assignment button
is mandatory.

6. Read the confirmation message and press the Continue button.

7. With the completion of step # 6, your assignment has been submitted for grading and your first
attempt has been utilized. Now you can verify the state of your assignment file from the
Submission status row highlighted in the image below.

You can see the plagiarism similarity percentage on the same page and the detailed report can be
seen by pressing the Similarity button. Kindly note that the system can take up to 24 hours to
generate your plagiarism result, it will not appear immediately upon submission. Hence, please
wait for the plagiarism result to appear in 24 hours time starting from your submission completed
in step # 6 above.

On the same page, you can see the message showing the amount of time left for you to avail your
second attempt if you would like to.

Important Note: Please note very carefully that once the allotted time for availing your second
attempt is over (that is, 5 days), you will not be able to avail the second attempt at all and your
first attempt will be considered final for grading. Do make sure that after uploading your
assignment for the first time, you come back to the assignment page after 24 hours to see your
plagiarism report and immediately make changes if you want to and upload your assignment
for the second time within the specified timeframe. The university will not entertain any second
upload request in case the allotted time has elapsed.

Uploading the Assignment for the second time (availing your second attempt):

1. Go to the assignment page and click on the Request re attempt button.

Once the Request re attempt button is pressed you will notice that your submission status will
change to Reopened from Submitted for grading.

2. Click on the Upload Your Second Attempt button.

3. Press the Add button.

4. Like before, click on Choose File, select your assignment file and then press the Upload this
file button.

5. Press Save changes button.

6. Now notice the following:

A. Your file is again in the Draft mode. This is the draft mode of your second attempt.

B. By Pressing the Edit submission button you can upload an updated version if you
want to, just like you could do in the first attempt.

7. Press the Submit assignment button to submit your file for grading.

8. Read the confirmation message and press the Continue button.

Important Note: Once again, please note very carefully that the file will remain in draft mode
and will not be considered for grading until you press the Submit assignment button even
when you are availing the second upload attempt. Therefore, pressing the Submit assignment
button is mandatory.

9. Once your file is successfully submitted you will be able to verify it very easily on the assignment
page. Please check the Attempt number and Submission status rows.
