1. If you calculate the person-hours devoted to IBMs team projects, they amount to more than
180,000 hours of management tie each year. Do you think this is a wise investment of IBMs
human resources? Why or why not?

Answer: From my opinion, I think it is a wise investment of IBMs human resources.


Because it shows how good an organization can change to a betterment. It also worth
because of the work showing the increase in positive decision-making, information
acquisition and analysis, and other factors that make the teams outcomes more
successful for IBM. By working with different background of people, it builds of mutual
trust and understanding to achieve shared outcomes. It also builds a leadership energy
that leans about various places and also learns to exchange their diverse background and
skills. They help lay the ground work for opening up businesses in emerging economics.

2. Would you like to work on multicultural, multinational projects team? Why and why not?
Answer: Yes I would like to work on one of IBMs multicultural, multinational project
teams. This is because it can give me various opportunities such as a leadership and
communication skills. It will enable to work closely with a team IBMers from such a
wide range of competencies. By this, I can enhance my knowledge of effective business
and delivery services practices. I also can adapt to global environments where I can learn
problem solving and team skills.

3. Multicultural projects teams often face problems with communication, expectations and
values. How do you think some of these challenges can be overcome?

Answer: Communication have been a bigger problem and resolution in the present world.
It is also been come a part of challenge in multicultural group. These can be solved by running
meetings to expose the working team to other cultures. Learning about another cultures
language, rules and norms for acceptable behavior helps prepare the team to deal with situations

as they arise. Conducting activities to demonstrate how dependent we are on language also can
be a part to solve the problem. Moreover, providing workshops, tips and techniques for
communicating effectively in multicultural work environments can overcome these challenges.
People act according to the values of their own culture.
