Sub: Report on AutoCAD-Professional Level training by TASK from 20.02.2017 to 23.02.2017-

Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) has conducted a training session
on AutoCAD-Professional Level from 20.02.2017 to 23.02.2017 in our college premises by
trainer Sri B.Kishore at B-IV 230.

Day 1(20.02.2017):
Sri B. Kishor Kumar Trainer from TASK was introduced to the Students by TASK
Institute Co-ordinator Sri P.Vijay Kumar.

Principal Prof. P. Venkateshwar Rao addressed the students and gave valuable inputs
regarding the importance of being Certified by Authorized Professional body.

Dr. K.Eswaraiah Professor & Head, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and


,Dr.L.Sudheer Reddy , Professor & Head, Dept. of Civil Engineering addressed the students
the importance of the Certified AutoCAD professionals and their recognization in design field
and job opportunities in the industries.
Students were provided with AutoCAD 2016 Software( 32 bit and 64 bit) to be
installed in their Laptops under the guidance of Sri S.Sripathy Asst. Professor ,MED and Sri
G. Shravan Kumar. Asst. Professor CED (TASK Department Co-ordinators).

Training Session

Trainer discussed about drawing skills, gave the guidelines to install AutoCAD 2016
(Student Version). Enlightened about the list of skills that are to be covered in the training
session and in Exam .
Students were made to practice on
Draw Objects :
Draw lines and rectangles
Draw Circles, Arcs, and Polygons
Draw with Accuracy: (Importance)
Use object-snap tracking
Use Coordinate Systems
Make isometric drawings

Day 2(21.02.2017):

Discussed Modify commands and their application. Students are made to draw using
the discussed commands.( Provided drawing hard copies to student)

Students were made to practice on


Modify Objects:

Move and copy objects


Rotate and scale objects
Create and use arrays
Trim and extend objects
Offset and mirror objects
Use grip editing
Fillet and chamfer objects

Day 3 (22.02.2017):

Students were made to practice on

Draw and edit polylines

Blend between objects with splines

Apply hatches and gradients

Organize Objects

Change object properties


Alter layer assignments for objects

Control layer visibility

Assign properties by object or layer

Manage layer properties

Reuse Existing Content

Work with blocks 3


Manage block attributes 3
Reference external drawings and images.

Annotate Drawings
Add and modify text
Use dimensions
Add and modify multileaders
Create and assign annotative styles
Use tables

Discussed commands and their identification for the given drawings and focussed on
how to crack test for certification.

Day 4 (23.02.2017):

Exercise on miscellaneous drawings using commands and discussed Question


paper (AutoCAD 2015 Proffesional Level Exam Paper).
The Autodesk Certified Professional exam contains 35 questions. The majority
of these require you to use AutoCAD to create or modify a data file, and then type
your answer into an input box. Other question types include multiple choice, matching,
and point-and-click. Candidate will have a two-hour time limit (in some countries, the
time limit may be extended).
In this regard the following things about training during above said period is being
brought to your kind notice:

1. The training session went on well and was very interactive.


2. His delivery is very lucid and to the point.
3. The information and practical application with the software was exceptional and very
well accepted by the students.
4. The trainer has thrown light on tips and tricks for commands.

Sri S.Sripathy Asst. Professor ,MED and Sri G. Shravan Kumar. Asst. Professor
CED (TASK Department Co-ordinators) continuously co-ordinated with the training session
and guided students during practice sessions.

Besides these, we felt that if the training would have been extended about 2 days further
the training might turn up very successful. Finally, overall impression of the training was
good.

Thank you so much for your timely support to organise such a wonderful training for the
benefit of our students.
