Reasons Why Nursery Schools in Finland are lucky

Why is Finland in the top list of having quality information that the growing need?

Diverse factors have led to Finland to be mentioned as the best when it comes to the

foundation of a young kid (LynNell Hancock, 2014 p 11). Children digest everything they learn

right from 5 years. It is at this stage that they have to be fed with the real education that will

build a platform that will last. The essay proves why it is worth taking your child, especially to

Finland to get the kindergartens best start.

Finland is known for its excellent education facilities since 1960. The innovation process

of the old schools began when the Finnish Parliament decided that the public schools were the

correct way to make the economy better. Education in Finland does not begin until the child is

seven years old. Research that was recently done at the University of Virginia discovered that

when a child is younger than seven years, it needs to read way more than to read. They later

argued that children who begin their studies after they are seven years old tend to perform better

than the early beginners (Devaney and Milstein 1998, p.131). The power of play educates a

childs mind with a lot of interest. When children play, they learn without even noticing it. The

benefit of playing makes the child develop emotionally, physically, and socially. Playing should

be made fun to motivate children and also engage them in learning. As seen in nursery schools,

children only do desk work once a week which only involves work like handwriting.

What techniques does Finland use in teaching Kindergarten kids?

Teaching to make somebody know and teaching to make anyone understand are two

different aspects. But why do teachers prefer to move to kindergartens to teach? Being a teacher

is a calling and requires one to have different skills that connect to kids in kindergarten. The

skills impacted will determine how the child will grow education wise. Schools in Finland

specifically in Finland, have a special way of teaching. Teachers in the schools have unique ways

of educating children through natural or pedagogical ways. The pedagogical way is a guided

system where children are involved in calculations and learn how to do business in a practical

way through playing. A few adults are required to correct the children whenever they go wrong.

The spontaneous format leads to a freestyle education where children use toys to educate

themselves during the games.

Finland being a small country developed a rule whereby nearly 90% of children below

seven years have the right to daycare and preschool. Despite the fact they begin learning at a

later age, the majority of them acquire solid reading and math skills by fifteen years. Teachers in

Finland are known to be excellent educators, and one of the requirements of a day-care teacher is

to study at a university and attain a Bachelors degree.

What methods has Finland used in Nursery schools?

Kids in Finland are seen to have the best performance because they have a solid start

foundation. A great box which contained books, clothing, and infant supplies are the first baby

supplies parents are provided with by the Finnish government. The method of this first

preparation program allows the child to grasp information fast and in a very short amount of

time. As compared to other countries, Finnish teachers spend time with nursery children in the

classrooms (Woodward 1966, p.98). While the kids play during the break, the teachers develop

new teaching strategies to individually assess each child so as to develop their personal character.

A welfare team engaged in Finnish nurseries is to make sure children enjoy learning. An array of

subjects like music, art, and PE are usual for the children.

Education to the Poor

After discovering there is power in education, the government of Finland introduced a

free school system where day-care and preschool were free. Children from low-income families

who benefited from these programs performed so well that it made them receive free

sponsorships until they finish their education. Ninety-three percent of the students who have

graduated vocational schools or academic schools in Finland performed better compared to other

countries.

How does Finlands Ministry of Education ensure that all children from diverse

backgrounds and different places will get an equal quality of education?

The teachers in Finland also spend less time in classrooms and spend most of their time

to assess whether the children are doing the right thing. Homework in this case also is reduced so

as not to stress the child. They believe that until the child is ready to learn, forcing him or her to

read will only make things worse. Therefore, kids are given time to learn better when they feel

they are willing (Saloviita and Schaffus 2016, p.465). From this observation, I believe that

Finland has a leading education system because of maintaining its culture of hiring professional

teachers who at the end remain the source of Finlands educational success.
