LETTER DRAFT:
Prior to my trip to Roadrunner Village, I received your notice of intent saying that you plan to
vacate Apartment B. Because of this communication, it is necessary that I cover a few details of
my expectancies with regard to the cleaning of the building due to the fact that some of the older
people who lived in adjoining apartments, and who moved out recently, have recently lost their
cleaning deposits due to the fact that they left commodes and carpets unclean, and various and
sundry other appliances also were generally left dirty in nature. Some of the tenants with little
children under the age of four years old were unable to put their apartment back into satisfactory
shape at the time they decided to vacate.
In light of the fact that the apartment owner is a witch on wheels, I am kinda forced to be a cog
on that wheel and I sorta have to demand a certain amount of conformance from you as a tenant.
It is virtually imperative that you look at this matter with great care and concern or the possibility
exists that your deposit will not be returned to you. It is incumbent upon you to clean the
apartment thoroughly. I would be most pleased if you would visit the office and pick up the
written material which will give implicit instructions on what to clean, and how to clean, and
particularly note how to clean commodes and carpets.
I really hope and trust you will take this communication seriously. Actually, I am in a position to
inspect the apartment on Friday at the same time when I will be cleaning the apartment next
door. In anticipation of your compliance with the cleaning requirements, I will be ready and able
to refund your deposit at the same time if all is well.
I certainly want to thank you for your timely consideration of this matter. It is true and accurate
that the owner's basic and fundamental appreciation will be forthcoming when she receives a
positive report on the cleaning and vacating of your apartment.

I received your notice on planning to vacant apartment B. Well, let me just remind you that you
must clean the apartment before leaving vacant. Not doing so, you will lose your cleaning
deposit. This happened to an older couple that just moved out recently, they left their carpet
unclean and other appliances dirty. Not worry you will be getting a refund for cleaning the
apartment. The apartments owner is very explicit on this, Im just enforcing the rules.
