Description of how to implement in the class:
Students will start off by being introduced to Famous American listed in the standard
with a video on Benjamin Franklin. The students will be creating their own PowerPoint
video at the conclusion of the lesson on the American figure of their choosing.

Students will then be presented the PowerPoint that I created. They will be
encouraged to pick out one person they would like to research more about.
Afterwards, they will be broken into either small groups of 3 or 4 or work individually
if they choose too. They will do research on their chosen person from approved sites
and come up with 5 facts about that person.

All the PowerPoints will then be shared with the class and then published on the class
blog for others to enjoy. The link for the Benjamin Franklin video has been included
below.

Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): LoTi level 3 because we are

integrating a computer program for students to become more knowledgeable about
past historical figures in America.

Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided:

Students will learn about historical American figures that influenced and shaped the
America we know today. They will be presented the lesson through a PowerPoint that
has been turned into a movie, which is more interactive and enjoyable than a lecture
and worksheet assignment.
