Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

This software application can be used to create video tutorials and presentations. You can use personal
video shot by yourself or clips. This software helps you edit and compile everything together. Need no
previous experience.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING


How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the
screencasting you or your students, and what purpose it will serve.

Often times in English courses, a final assessment is to create an alternative ending to a novel, poem or
play we just read. I think it would be fun for students to break into groups and make a video on them
reinacting their alternative ending.

This technology is a 3. I believe it makes for a student lead environment and students have artistic
freedom. It aligns with content standards for technology and also is a fun way for students to think about
literary texts. This gets students to get out of their chairs and be more active in and outside of the
classroom.
