Vision
The Bulacan Agricultural State College as an outstanding higher education institution in the nation with its
provision of affordable and excellent education.

Mission
The Bulacan Agricultural State College shall strive for excellence in Agriculture and other allied disciplines. It
shall provide for and address ever-changing educational needs and services for those seeking to expand their intellectual
horizons. It shall address national and international issues and be established as a major presence and contributor to the
progress of the global community.

Institute Goals
1. Produce professionals in the fields of study offered by the institute equipped with appropriate technologies who
can meet the challenges of a dynamic environment towards global competitiveness.
2. Implement research, extension, training and production activities in line with the institute, college, local, regional
and national development thrusts.
3. Maintain a standard of excellence in fields of endeavor the institute is engaged in.
4. Establish linkages with different agencies and establishments (private and government) as training ground for
student and faculty development and for possible funding support.

Program Objectives
The BS Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program aims to:
1. train students in the application of engineering principles particularly in the solution of problems related to agro-
industrial development
2. prepare them to become professionals with entry-level competencies;
3. develop appreciation in the students, of the potentials of an agricultural & biosystems engineering business
enterprise;
4. instill in the students a concern for the preservation and protection of the natural environment; and
5. prepare students for advanced studies.

II. Course Title : Agricultural Engineering Law and Professional Ethics
III. Course Description : Philippine Agricultural Engineering Law, project specifications, bids and awards,
contract preparation, and professional ethics
IV. Credit Units : 1 unit
V. Pre-requisite : Preferably 4th year or Consent of Instructor
VI. Contact Hours : 1 hour per week (1 hour lecture)

VII. Course Outcomes:


At the end of the course the student is expected to:
1. acquire comprehensive understanding of the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the college;
2. internalize the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the college to achieve excellence in education;
3. develop an appreciation of the Agricultural Engineering Profession and apply their values to their work;
4. understand the nature of contracts and specifications and their application to Engineering.
5. have an understanding of the Laws of the land and how if affects the agricultural engineering profession; and
6. have an understanding of the importance of contracts and specifications, and the process of bidding.

X. Class Policies
A. Cheating in any form will not be tolerated. Students involved will be given a failing grade.
B. Make-up exam/s will only be given when the absence/s incurred is/are excused. No make-up will be given for
missed quizzes.
C. Late submitted course requirements will be given a score of zero. There should be a softcopy and a hard copy
submitted when applicable.
D. Those who were not able to satisfy all the requirements but was still able to obtain a class standing >60% will
be given a grade of Incomplete until such time that all the requirements have been satisfied.
