2016-2017 School Year
Dear Parents & Friends,
This is the time of year
when we are nearing the finish
line of the 2016-2017 school
year and looking toward the
next. 8th graders are filling out
enrollment and scholarship
applications, 3rd grade girls are
anticipating a new school year
in the grown up plaid skirt, 1st
graders are anticipating
receiving their 2nd grade
sacraments, and 5th graders
are preparing for the
challenges of becoming middle
school students. In addition to
all of that anxiousness, we
have Kindergarten Round-Up
and new preschoolers
enrolling. OLU is definitely
gearing up for a successful
2017-2018 school year.
I tell you all of this because
admist this excitement, there is
still lots to be done this year.
As Spring approaches and the
anticipation and excitement for
new challenges arrives, please
help us to keep your child in the
here and now as much as
possible. There is still much to
learn, much to do, and much
more growth to be had. Please
continue to encourage your
child to stick with it to the finish.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Please join us for Stations of
the Cross each Friday morning
following the 7:45 Mass during
Lent.
ADULT FAITH
FORMATION
The Altar Society at the
Cathedral of St. Peter is
having a womens Day of
Lenten Prayer on Saturday.
It will begin with Mass at
8:15am, followed by breakfast
and a presentation by Susan
Carroll of the Archdiocese.
This day of prayer will be
presented in English and
would be a great opportunity
for those who havent
completed their adult faith
formation for the year.
BWHS MUSICAL
Bishop Ward High School
will be putting on the musical
Homework Eats Dogs.
Students in grades 6-8 will be
going there next week for a
preview. In addition to this, all
students will be receiving an
invitation to come to the show
in their envelopes today. On
the back of the invitation there
is a raffle ticket. These cannot
be turned in by the 6-8
graders at the preview. They
can only be turned in if you
attend one of the evening
shows.

The final Attendance
Interruption for the school year
is coming up quickly. At that
time, all money owed on any
accounts must be paid in full.
The only debts allowed to be
carried at that time are the
April & May tuition payments.

SERVICE HOURS
Fr. Kent would like to get a
list of parents who would be
interested in helping out the
parish office. There are
multiple times throughout the
year when Fabiola could use
help with sealing and mailing
envelopes or other office
needs. We will be preparing a
list with names and phone
numbers in our office. If you
would like to be on the call
list, please call Carmen. I will
also be asking about this at
our enrollment meetings for
those who missed the request
in the newsletter.
