Measure to Prevent 020A/010B Jam Codes When Replacing the Fixing Assembly
GENERAL:
This Technical Publication details a measure to prevent 020A/010B Jam Codes when replacing the Fixing
Assembly.
DETAILS:
When replacing the Fixing Assembly (FM4-6227), the Upper Fixing Delivery Guide (FM4-7712) must be
removed from the Fixing Assembly and attached to the new Fixing Assembly or 020A/010B Jam Codes
will occur.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
CAUTION:
Be careful when removing the Fixing Assembly because it is hot immediately after the
power is turned OFF.
Do not discard the assembly with the Delivery Guide attached.

3. Remove the 2 secrews securing the Fixing Delivery Upper Guide (FM4-7712).
4. Lift the tab, push the claw to free the boss, and remove the Fixing Delivery Upper Guide.

CAUTION:
1. When attaching the new Fixing Assembly, remove the fixation member.
2. After installing the Fixing Delivery Guide, check that [A] moves.
(If it does not move, the flapper will not operate properly and a jam will
occur.)
