III. CASE KNOWLEDGE AND PRE-TRIAL PUBLICITY

The defendant, Zachery Adams, is charged with first degree premeditated murder, first degree felony
murder, especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape in connection with death of Holly Lynn
Bobo, a 20 year old nursing student at University of Tennessee Martin in Parsons. The State alleges
Holly Bobo was abducted from her home on Swann Johnson Road in Darden, Tennessee on April 13,
2011. Her remains were discovered on September 8, 2014, near County Country Road near Holladay,
Tennessee in Decatur County. You may have heard, read or overheard discussion about this case or the
people allegedly involved. There is nothing wrong with having previously read, heard or discussed this
case, or overheard discussions or news media about the case. What is important is that you fully and
completely disclose in response to the following questions anything you may have heard, overheard,

VIII. CONCLUDING ISSUES

This case is a capital case and is expected to take 1-2 weeks to try after the jury is selected. Jury
selection is scheduled for April 5-7, 2017, and July 6-7, 2017; the trial is scheduled for July 10-
22, 2017.

In Tennessee, citizens who are selected as jurors in a capital case are required by law to be
sequesteredthat is, to remain together as a group until a final verdict is reached in the case.
Thus, jurors, after being sworn to serve, will not be allowed to return to their jobs or their
homes until a verdict has been reached. Until the deliberations have concluded, jurors will
spend their days in court listening to evidence and their evenings at dinner and then at a local
motel. Each juror will be provided a room and all lodging and food expenses will be paid for
