Automotive Catalysts
Umicores Automotive Catalysts business unit offers customized vehicle
emission control catalysts and systems that are designed to exceed the
requirements of increasingly stringent global exhaust emission regulations.
Since 1968, the company has been a pioneer of research in the field of
emission control catalysis for automobiles. As a result of its unsurpassed
success in providing effective three-way and diesel catalysts, Umicore has
become a leading supplier of automotive catalysts to major automakers
around the world, including those in North and South America, Europe
and Asia.
Based on the latest technologies from our laboratories and engine test
benches, our automotive catalysts successfully reduce harmful emissions
such as hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx)
and particulate matter. Working closely with our customers around the
world from conception to production, Umicore delivers innovative catalysts
that not only meet or exceed regulatory compliance and provide a high
degree of durability, but that are also engineered to do so in the most
cost-effective manner possible.
