Student Christmas Gifts Scabies/Headlice

A special thank you to the Port Union Lions
Club for providing funding for our student
Christmas gifts again this year! A story book
and chocolates was given to each student at
Catalina Elementary!
Please remind your child not to share caps or combs
and to wash their hands regularly to prevent coming
into contact with scabies/headlice. If you have any
concerns regarding either of the above, contact a
physician or public health.

Winter Clothing
During the winter months students are still encouraged to go outside at
lunchtime when the weather is appropriate. Therefore, please ensure
students in grades 1- 6 have the appropriate winter clothing (winter boots,
coat, hat, mittens and snow pants or wet pants).

Breakfast Program Volunteers Visitors to the School

We are in need of a couple of more volunteers for
the Catalina Elementary Breakfast Program. If you
are able to volunteer from 8:00 - 8:45 a.m., (1-2
days per month) please contact the school at 469-
2265.
All entrance doors to the school are locked
at 9:00 a.m. All parents/visitors to the
school must use the security system at the
main entrance to gain entry to the building.
Please check in at the main office to avoid
any unnecessary interruptions to the
classroom.

McDonalds (No Longer Nut Free)

For Your Information:

McDonalds is now serving products using nuts that are not individually packaged. As a result, all
products available at the restaurant may contain or come in contact with peanuts, tree nuts or
other allergens. That means the possibility exists for cross-contact between nuts and other menu
items.
