The purpose of the project for English was to first read and understand a book within our
own reading level. We were to use our own knowledge from the book and then make a summary
of the book and identify characters, conflicts, etc. This project was to prove that we read the
book thoroughly and that we could prove that we knew the meaning of the parts of a book. When
first introduced to the project I was kind of worried that I wasnt going to know what to even do.
After the teacher explained to us the project, I figured it wasnt going to be as hard as I thought.
Academically, my main goal was to get at least a B in this and done neatly so itd look good. My
other main goal personally was to make sure that itd be done two days earlier than the due date
Throughout the project I found a doubt I had, mainly in the part where it said we had to
connect our books conflict to another country with the similar situation. This was a hard
decision because I wasnt sure what country to connect it to. Eventually, I went with Mexico
since that country was pretty simple to connect to the problem in the book I read. Another

am a bit more serious about the assignment and will put in extra effort. I honestly think that I
excelled in most it; I felt pretty confident about doing the work. I believe that the part I need
improvement in would be in making sure to keep things in the tense throughout the assignment. I
think next time I would maybe try to have a more coordinated schedule of doing things so I
I investigated the world by researching about a country that had the similar type of
problem as described in the book. This experience supported our vision because we have to be
connected to the world as much as possible. I recognized and weighed perspectives as I learned
how it could have been possible that the story could have ended in the way it did while it should
have ended in another. I know it matters in todays society because we have to learn how to
