People are the property of any corporation. For proper functionality of the enterprise, safety of
the employees is paramount. Protection of the people in and around the place of work is the
utmost obligation of the employees themselves, the supervisors and the overall duty is of
the employer. Its far protection measures that ensures the employees are in
shape and pleasant to perform a particular job in hand and the final results could be
a finished and successful job in time. To prevent the workplace hazards, some form of
action should be taken in-order to ensure workers safety. One of the actions taken
comes in the form of making a Job Safety Analysis or JSA. Its objective is simply
to find out a safe way of carrying out a job.

Due to lack to JSA, a potential hazard had cause serious injuries as per the video
given through moodle. Not knowing a potential hazard and continuing working in
that environment and also contributing to a hazard was one of the reason for the
death of a co-worker while working 20m in a confined space in a pipe. Moreover,
use of proper equipment was not known, a rolling platform could have been used to
help the worker moving in and out of the pipe, different method to help a worker
with his oxygen level while being inside a pipe where oxygen level will differ as
grinding work was done. Therefore, it is important for a JSA in such areas with
potential hazards.

Conclusion
Activity safety evaluation is one of the middle practices of any safety law that desires to
be accomplished in a place of job to ensure the workers protection. JSA is restricted to jobs that can
be carried out in much less than ten steps and isn't always perfect for jobs which can be too narrow or
small and too extensive or complicated. The center practices which can be associated with JSA
are specifically; challenge Description, danger Description and hazard Controls. JSA wishes to
be executed by means of an experienced worker or managerhowever they should also take tips from
the workers that could be carrying out the job.
After doing this lab, it can be said that JSA is an important part in an industry.
The maximum important gain of JSA is that it identifies the real in addition to capacity hazards which are
associated with a job and facilitates in determining the manipulate measures, which
if not accomplished, might motive severe harm to the employees. To ensure correct methods of
operation by means of people and proper running situations of the system, JSA should be performed
periodically.
