The state will unveil its long-promised, color-keyed approach to gauging school performance in areas
critical to students college and career readiness. Heres how it will work:
STATUS AND CHANGE REPORT
Shows the performance level for each state indicator and the current performance (Status)
and difference from past performance (Change) that resulted in that performance.

The status and change report provides the performance level for all students on all state indicators and
identifies the status for the current year and change relative to the prior year for each state indicator.

STATE INDICATORS
5. Chronic Absenteeism: Kids who miss a lot 6. English Learner Progress: More than one

schools are graded on basic services, such as building quality,
learning conditions, parent engagement and overall climate. The
goal is to eliminate the so-called achievement gap so black and

takes into account state and local factors. Officials say the data
will show academic performance, academic engagement, school
conditions and climate in a simple-to-understand format.
