- Use amino acid (L-Glutamine)
- Semi-permeable state
- Microvilli

- Form brush Border
- Located on the apical surface of the Intestinal Epithelial cell
- To expand surface area
- Contain enzymes
Structure

- Enterocytes
- Goblet cell
- Enteroendocrine cell
- Paneth cell
- Transit Amplifying Cells
- Intestinal stem cell
 Function
- Continue digestion after it leaves the stomach
- Prevent harmful bacteria and undigested food molecules from entering
the bloodstream
- Absorb nutrient by diffusion
Absorption for Lipids

Causes
