A sample of material of known dimensions,
weight and composition is exposed to a
process environment for a period of time.
Once recovered, cleaned and weighed,
the difference in weight can be used to
calculate the volume of material lost. This loss
relative to the surface area can be used to
calculate an annualised metal loss rate. This
rate is typically expressed as Mils (thou) Per
Year (MPY) or Millimetres Per Year (MMPY).

Coupon holders and associated access fittings
are available in 3 ranges:
AC Series 2 High Pressure suited to
on-line retrieval up to 6000psi
RC Series Packing gland assembly
systems suited to on line retrieval up to
1500psi
Fixed Series Fixed assemblies for
threaded, flanged and hub type
mountings. Not retrievable online.
