UNIT 2: Food

1) We need food from different groups everyday:


- Fruit and vegetables
- Meat and fish
- Sugary food
- Milk and dairy
- Bread and cereals

UNIT 5: Plant life

1) Types of plants:
- Trees are plants with a thick, hard stem called a trunk.
- Bushes are plants with a lot of stems and leaves.
- Grass is a plant. It is thin and bendy.

2) Parts of the tree:


- Brunches
- Twigs
- Leaves
- Fruits
- Flowers
- Roots
- Trunk

3) Types of trees:
- Deciduous trees lose their leaves in autumn.
- Evergreen trees have green leaves all year.

5) Seeds grow inside the fruit.

6) Plants need soil warmth, sun, water and air to grow well.

UNIT 6: Water, land and air

1) The water can be in three forms:

Solid Liquid Gas

- Water vapour is a gas.


- Ice is a solid.
- Water is a liquid.

- Water turns to ice when it is very cold.
- Water turns to liquid at room temperature.
