PLAN FOR ASSESSMENT Develop a plan for assessing the degree to which your students have mastered
the learning outcomes from this lesson. Your plan should include formative assessments at a minimum, and
may also include summative and/or authentic assessments depending on the nature of the learning outcomes
and the placement of the lesson within the context of the unit.

1
Formative: I will use the students answers from the questions that I gave them on the video to assess their
knowledge of the material. I will also walk around the classroom as they research in groups to make sure they
are finding the basic facts about Europe. I will listen to their personal questions to see the depth of their
understanding of the topic.

Summative: I will use the unit test of the geography of Europe to assess their knowledge on the basic facts of
Europe. I will also quiz them periodically on their knowledge.
