Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies
Beginning the Lesson
10 min The teacher will distribute a Worksheet and do brainstorm their prior knowledge
through a story entitled Once There Was a bull (frog).. that has numerous compound
words. The teacher will read it for the students and they have to fill in the blanks a given
Worksheet and highlight the compound words.
Once the story finishes, ask the students about what they think and what they find out from
the story.

Developing the Lesson


5 mins The students will be asked to go front and write on the board all the highlighted
words that they found, but it should be different from the other students.
3 mins Check their thinking. If they still cannot find the pattern from their highlighted
words, ask the students to take a look at the board and tell the teacher what they think.

10 Closing the Lesson


mins The students will be given a Compound Words Booklet which they have to
complete (give written answer and draw the objects).
5 mins Conclusion will be given by 3 average students who are still on the working
progress.
