    Stage2waterrestrictionsforWhitemark

    CustomersconnectedtothereticulatedwatersysteminWhitemarkwillbeonStage2water
    restrictionsfromWednesday,22March2017untilFriday,30June2017.Theserestrictionswillapply
    unlessanexemptionisprovided.Therestrictionsmaybeliftedearlierdependingoninflowsand
    storagelevels.

    Stage2restrictionsaredesignedtoreduceaveragewaterconsumptionbyapproximately50per
    centthroughthereductionofnonessentialwateruse.Nonessentialresidentialandcommercial
    useislimitedtoalternatedaysandwateringoflawnsisbanned.ThefollowingrulesapplytoStage2
    restrictions:

    Residential,publicandcommercialgardensandlawns
    Wateringoflawnsisbannedatalltimes.

    Gardenwateringisrestrictedtoallocateddays,whichwillbeadvisedbyTasWatervialetter,during
    thefollowingtimes:
    Manualwateringsystemscanonlybeusedongardensbetweenthehoursof6amand8am
    andbetweenthehoursof8pmand10pmonalternatedays
    Automaticwateringsystemscanonlybeusedongardensbetweenmidnightand4amon
    alternatedays
    Handheldhoseswithatriggernozzle,abucketorwateringcanmaybeusedatanytime

    Sportinggrounds
    Wateringofsportsgroundsisrestrictedtoallocateddaysduringthefollowingtimes:
    Manualwateringsystemscanonlybeusedfron6amto8amand8pmto10pm
    Automaticwateringsystemscanonlybeusedbetweenmidnightand4am
    Handheldhoseswithatriggernozzle,bucketsorwateringcansmaybeusedatanytime.

    Paving,concreteandotherhardsurfaces
    Hosingisbannedexceptforconstruction,healthandsafetypurposesorinanemergency.

    Vehicles
    Vehiclescanbewashedathomeusingahighpressurecleaningdevice,abucketoratawater
    efficientcommercialcarwashatanytimeorday.Ahandheldhosefittedwithatriggernozzlecannot
    beusedforprerinsingandrinsingathome.

    Residentialorcommercialpoolsorspas
    Tofillortopupaneworexistingpoolorspawithacapacityof2,000litresorless,ahandheldhose
    fittedwithatriggernozzle,awateringcanorabucketcanbeused.Thismustonlyoccuron
    allocateddays.Poolsandspasofgreaterthan2,000litrescapacitymayonlybefilledwithapproval
    fromTasWater.

    Exemptions
    Completeorpartexemptionsfromanylevelofwaterrestrictionmaybegivenbyapplyingto
    TasWateratenquiries@taswater.com.auorcalling136992.

    Requestsforexemptionsmustbeaccompaniedbyawaterconservationplan.Suchplansareto
    include,asaminimum:
    Theareatobeirrigated
    Locationofwatermeter(s)
    Detailsofexistingwateringarrangementsandvolumes
    Proposedwateringarrangementsandvolumes
    Detailsofproposedwateringmechanismsandappropriatewasteminimisationprocesses
    Locationandwordingofsignagetoadvisethegeneralpublicofanexemptionfromwater
    restrictions.
