9.MovetheretardercontrollevertothefullONposition.Thefollowingpressuresshouldbeindicated:

Oilpressureattherearslackadjustershouldbeamaximumof3650kPa(530psi).

Oilpressureatthefrontslackadjustershouldbe3650kPa(530psi).

Airpressureattherearbrakemastercylindershouldbe550kPa(80psi).

10.MovetheretardercontrollevertotheOFFposition.Applytheservicebrake.Thefollowingpressures
shouldbeindicated:

Oilpressureattherearslackadjustershouldbe4345to5445kPa(630to790psi).

Oilpressureatthefrontslackadjustershouldbe4345to5445kPa(630to790psi).

Airpressureattherearbrakemastercylindershouldbe655to827kPa(95to120psi).

11.Stoptheengine.

Note:Removeairpressurefromtheairsystemfortheservicebrakeandfortheretarderbrakesystem
beforeyouremovethecouplersfromthebrakemastercylinders.

12.Removethegaugesandthecouplers.Installplug(1)and(2)intotheelbowsonthetopofthemaster
cylinders.

NOTICE
Donotexceedtheairpressureof83035kPa(1205psi)ordamage
canoccurtotheairsystemcomponents.

13.Useanexternalairsupplytochargetheairsystem.

Note:PerformtheAirSystemandBrakesSystemsOperation/TestingandAdjusting,"SlackAdjusterTestand
Adjust"inordertodeterminethepressureateachwheel.

Personalinjuryordeathcanresultfromairintheoilforthebrake
hydraulicsystem.

Airinthesystemcanpreventcompletebrakeapplicationanditis
possiblethatthewheelsonthemachinecannotbestopped.
